My family ate at H&V last June for the FDP and we were very pleasantly surprised. We chose H&V because it was the least expensive of the FDP choices, and because I figured with a buffet each of us would be able to find something to eat. A little background on our family: I am a vegetarian but the rest of my family eats meat. I have two teenage sons, one of which is not extremely picky but won't eat anything that he deems is too "weird" and one of which is pretty picky and will only eat foods that are fairly simple (not a lot of combined ingredients, not a lot of heavy seasoning, etc). DH will try most things but he won't touch anything with onions and he doesn't like a lot of heavy seasoning or spicy foods. Well, at H&V we all found plenty of delicious food to eat. In fact, I got full before I had tried everything that I had wanted to try!
There is a very large selection of food on this buffet, and we liked the majority of what we tried. Everything was fresh and the buffet was kept clean and well-stocked. I've heard several complaints about service at H&V, but our server, Thomas, was wonderful, one of the best servers we've had at WDW.
