Has anyone had a problem with their Gypsy not "talking" to their Cricut? Mine has been very tempramental. When I tellthy G to cut it says it's not connected to the Cricut but it is. The USB port on the back of the C is really loose. So I'm thinking that is the culprit. Just wondering if anyone else has a a similar problem. It's the Expression that I have.

That has happened to me....
Have you updated your gypsy? The biggest update for the Gypsy is now available. I did it Monday. Sometimes the Cricut needs to be updated too.
What I did after I made sure the G and C were both updated is unplug BOTH then plug them back in and it seemed to settle the problem.

I had the same problem when I first got my "G". I agree try updating the "G" and the "E".

Thanks guys. I just updated the G a few days ago but not my E. I'll give that a try. It's been driving me nuts, especially when it stops cutting midway through a cut.

I update my G, then my E, and when I update my E with the G, I have to make sure G is plugged in to a power source rather than operating on its battery .pack.

Horrible results happened when I tried it just on the battery.:scared1:

Do I have to bring my cricut over to the computer to update it or can I just use the gypsy to update it. I have played with my gypsy but never plugged it in to the cricut yet.

Just update the cricut using your gypsy. The same wire you use to connet the Gypsy to the Cricut to cut is the same wire you use to update the Cricut.

I met someone else that said their G wouldn't cut on the battery, it had to be plugged in.

So I updated my E and my baby bug and it was still acting up. In fact I couldn't get the G to talk to the E or the bug at all. Then I reset the G and that seemed to work. I did by then have it plugged in since the battery was just about dead. But I haven't had a problem before with it cutting on the battery.
