My primary bloods doctor, Lew, told me today that he's resigning. This man has been a rock. I mean, he has always put a positive spin on things that would otherwise have been dull and depressing. He's awesome. And after seeing him today, that's the last I'll see of him.

Gutted.

It’s so difficult to find a physician you really like. I am sorry you will have to find a new one. I imagine a few people around here are going through the same thing. There was a little clinic next to our Walgreens Pharmacy store and it’s closing as of Friday due to a big, hospital-associated clinic that just opened across the street. I hope a lot of the people from the little clinic were able to get jobs in the larger clinic so their patients don’t have to search for new doctors. We have a couple of retirement communities nearby and it’s especially complicated for seniors to switch due to their often complex medical issues.

I hope you find a new one soon that is just as good as the one you’ve lost.

That's so true... very heart breaking to listen to your neighbors during afternoon iced liquor what they are going to do next when informed their doctor of the last 15 years is resigned from practice... the panic on their Spirit and where to go now... different names tossed about but no directed passion to the loss

I was just sad that I'd lost a good friend

My DH and I had the same drs in a praticed for several decades. They retired . Found new YOUNGER dr, we like him, thought at our age, this is the last we'd need to look. Nope. Next dr isn't too far away from retirement himself, but we should have a few years at least.

In the UK you are normally registered with a specific practice under the National Health Service so, colloquially, you belong to that practice.
