Gummy bears

Real quick question....anyone know if Gummy Bears (or worms, or whatever!!) are allowed in a carryon? I would consider them more of a food, but I was thinking they could be more of a gel.
Silly question, I know, but I couldn't find it on the TSA website.

Yum, gummy bears. Yep, we just brought em last trip no problem. Good for the kiddos to chew on to keep those ears clear.
