Guilty pleasures: Rides you love but are embarassed to admit it!

Awesome thread! I just love being among people who love Disney as much as I do!

I love the Jungle Cruise! I know the animals are fake and the jokes are knee-slappers, but I must do it every time we go!

I can't get enough of the Muppet Show at MGM too!

I guess perhaps we should make a support group for us "El Rio" lovers. It;s been far too long since my last trip down the river.

Oooh..OOOOOhhh! I've got another one! I SO love The American Adventure. I weep openly at the end when they are playing "Golden Dreams with the montage of Americana (like Ryan White, Dr. King, the lunar landing etc..) People stare at me like I am insane but it just gives me goosebumps and makes me so thrilled to be an American.

I also love anything, goofy as it may be, that involves audience participation. I want to be part of the magic.

I love El Rio del Tiempo and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority!

I'm not at all ashamed to admit that I love the American Adventure too. I'm surprised that there are people who don't! It brings me to tears every time!

I have to say the Jungle Cruise is one of my favs. Would definitely not miss it. Not that I'm ashamed, I always tell people it should be on their not to be missed list too.

My husband and I are very competitive about Buzz Lightyear too. It's fun. Before the last time we went I looked up tips on getting high scores and didn't tell him. He still kicked my butt! I think something was wrong with my score.

My all time favorite ride is Pirates of the Carribean. I love it soo much it is the ringtone on my cell phone. Possibly a little embarassing since I'm 26, but who really cares?

There is nothing embarassing about loving "Pirates", my 9 yr old and I go on that over and over again, it has become our little tradition. She started loving that ride at age three and it is still her fave. We always come off of it singing "Yo ho Yo ho a pirates life for me". pirate: pirate: pirate:

dischick4778,
I LOVE your picture! I am so jealous....

Thanks pumpkinfish! Have a great Disney vacation! I am always looking forward to my next trip "home".

My favorite is "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad." followed by the Steam Train. I used to love Goofy's Barnstormer, but now that my children are grown and it's just my wife and me, I'm sort of embarassed to get on. :D

I love TTA, the mexico boat ride, and sounds dangerous

For some reason as soon as I get on those rides, I relax and zone out. It's like a disney version of xanax for me.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I love Triceratops Spin. But I'm not as embarrassed about that fact as DS is. My children are grown and gone also, but last year, they went to WDW with us. DS and DH were coming out of Dinosaur (I'm too chicken to go on it) and there I was going round and round on TS, giving them a big wave. DH said later that DS just turned around and tried to pretend he didn't see me. I love that ride!

you were probably on the wrong/losing side of the car:sunny:

Dana49: glory in your childishness ur i mean child like qualities and ride barnstormer with you hands in the air! you only live once!:teeth:

It is not a ride but I love the Main Street singers. I love when they sing "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A".

It just starts my morning out right and sometimes I get a little teary eyed.

The other kinda silly thing I love is watching Sonny Eclipse sing. My daughter and I sing along with his Earth Angel song!!!

dischick4778 - My fav is HM and I have Grim Grinning Ghosts
ghost.gif
as my ringtone on my cellphone and have set my new mail notification on my computer to say "Welcome Foolish Mortals".

I have my user sign in on Windows XP to say "Welcome to the Magic Kingdom". My coworker has hers say a line from Aladdin with the Genie saying "Did you rub my lamp .... You're getting your wish NOW!"

I know this is closed at WDW but I like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. We went to DL this summer and we all had to ride that. Plus DH was disappointed that they had changed Bear Country into Winnie the Pooh at DL. Plus with BTMRR closed there it wasn't quite the same. We did ride Roger Rabbit's Toon Town Spin and he loved that.

At WDW I like the Tiki Room.

We too love the TTA. We ride it mulitple times each trip. I dont know what it is about going round and round.. it might be that theres never any line even on the busy days. You know you can just walk right on and sit down and relax.

Its not a ride but at Japan right now they have a display of old tin toys and I just love it. I could spend an hour in there just looking at all the old vintage stuff.

:D Small World and Peter Pan--Not the least bit embarrassed to admit it!! DD agrees but DH could probably do without, especially when we drag him on 3 or 4 times each ride!!!:teeth:

I love them too and cry every time I see them. I also love & cry every time I here Voices of Liberty. And I just love all the dark rides, Pirates and Haunted Mansion being my favorite. I love Spectromagic too.

Great thread!
