Guide to Medical Care in DLP (Parks and Hotel)

So after spending €99 the UK Pensions Department have decided that £9.85 is a suitable payout, shame my E111 couldn't help me get back the other £57, what a waste of time and effort - I spent more than £9.85 of my time filling in forms!

We had the unfortunate experience of seeing the inside of the local French hospital last October.........

My 2 yr old DD (only 1 at the time) was taken ill during our visit last October, and upon seeing the Hotel Doctor were sent off to the hopsital. It turned out to be nothing serious but I think they were playing safe (she had been ill previously at home and ended up in hospital then too, I think the communication was perhaps a little difficult). We paid 50 euros for the Doctor, another 17 for medication (from the hospital through the hotel as we didnt know where the nearest pharmacy was at 10pm) and got none of it back from the Pensions department!!!!!!

2 months after coming home we received an invoice through the post for 80 euros for her hospital treatment - this hasnt been refunded either!!!!!! EHICs are a waste of time. I did consider claiming through my personal insurance but having already claimed the month before (we had to cancel our August holiday) due to a close family bereavement I thought it was taking liberties.

I didnt know there was an English doctor in the parks!! I wish i'd known before we could have saved a great deal of time and money!
