Guide: Gil Gib Gabe?

Hi,
I returned a call from DVC to Betsy, but she wasn't in so they sent me to Gil, Gib or Gabe..couldn't make out the name. Anyway, do guides have dedicated emails? He gave me his phone number, but it's such a little thing, an email would be easier. He is sending me a book and also said I'd be getting an infromative email, but I have never gotten the email and would like him to try again.

Would it be Gib (short for Gibson) McCain? You will LOVE his as your guide. I do not have an email address. I only have a number. Is it something member services can help you with? If it is a question I am sure someone on the Disbaoard can help.

I think you'll find that email is rarely used between the sales people and their customers. I think it is for two reasons:

1) harder to use sales persuation techniques on someone via email (ever tried to negotiate a car price via email with a dealership?)

2) increased liability risk with the conversation in writing. With only verbal conversations prior to a sale, it is easier to enforce that only the written final contract terms can matter.

I got the Dream book today, and yes it is Gib. I think the email was just a generic thing..maybe the promotion? Anyway, I will try to PM the person who has the email. I know I'm buying from Disney, just not until DGC, so persuasion really won't work

Just wanted to add a note about Gib. He is our guy, and we think that he is FANTASTIC!!!!
