My wife and I have read about a dozen Guide Books to WDW in the last 3 years. We have found the following to be the best:

"The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney"
"Walt Disney World With Kids"
"The Irreverent Guide to Walt Disney World"

What guide books helped you?

We have used WDW with Kids, and the Unofficial Guide. I would recommend both of them. :)

Unofficial Guide, many copies of it in our house. Kids like the new Birnbaums for kids by kids. I have to admit it's pretty good for parents too!

... anybody know if the updated version of the 2005 guide is indeed coming out? Mr. Testa, are you out there? :flower:

Not Mr. Testa (maybe Mr. Testy, lol), but I believe 2005 is the version we have. It doesn't contain the new MYW options, but I believe it is the most recent.

The Unoffice Guide is the official guide at our house. Len Testa is always lurking around on this site, dying to help one of us. Thanks Len!

We use the Unofficial Guide, and the passporter. I love the passporter to keep all the reservation numbers handy and in one spot and to jot notes down. The Unofficial Guide seems to have the most info. We have the Walt Disney World 4 teens by teens and our DS loves reading that. We actually have several more disney books but these are our favorites. :cool1:

Which would you recommend for honeymooners? My SIL is getting married in October, and my in-laws are letting the newlyweds use their DVC points for a stay at either SSR (11-month ressie) or BCV (trying the 7-month window any day now).

SIL and her fiance are both very active people (think marathons, flag football, soccer, etc) and plan to do a lot of non-park outdoor activities while they are there. I'm helping as best I can, but I'm a couch potato at home and a park-hopping commando at WDW.

Which guide can best advise them on parasailing, water skiing, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, night clubbing, and other activities ending in -ing? I was thinking maybe Walt Disney World for Couples, but I haven't browsed through it yet.

I got the one for couples, but i liked my passporter more. Are they planning on only going to disney. I think there are some pretty good books that talk about the rest of orlando too.

I ordered the 2005 Unofficial Guide from www.Overstock.com last week and it has the MYW info in it. On Overstock it's only $12.99 and shipping for the Month of March is $1.00! Thought it was a great bargain! Ordered it last Friday and it arrived yesterday. Can't wait to get through it!

Has been the most help to me plus I like The PassPorter :goodvibes :wizard: :flower:

The 2 guide books which helped me and my family are Fodor's Guide to Disneyworld with Kids and The Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld.
