Guest Services Wait Time

I need to cancel a hotel room I booked.. Good news is that I booked it later in the summer, so I have time to cancel.
Tried calling guest services, but the queue is so long, they basically say call back later and hang up on you.
When I did finally get into the queue.. waited 1 hour, but then had to hang up as had to do other things.

Any other way to cancel? Wish there was just a way that we could just cancel ourselves via online, like any other hotel company would have.
 
Unfortunately, there is no other way. I really don't understand how in the year 2021, you can make a Disney hotel reservation fully online, but you cannot cancel it online. I had to cancel a reservation also and waited on hold 1 hr 42 min yesterday to do so. Then they asked me to do a survey at the end and I rated them the worst possible rating for "value of time spent on call."
 
That doesn't sound promising. Going to try to email and see if that helps. Luckily I still have lots of time to cancel before the 5 day window.
 
Yea I waited for 3 hours before I got to talk to a CM when I called guest services a few weeks back. Then they needed to transfer me to someone else and we got disconnected. I didn’t call back. I was able to use the chat feature and get an answer to my question that way but I wasn’t trying to cancel reservations or anything like that. It’s insane how long you have to wait.
