guess who we met today??

We were walking out of magic kingdom today around 11, and guess who we saw
HORACE AND CLARABELL!! The character greeter said they have just started doing meets this week, in the front (before you even go under the train tracks). I am not sure if that is there permanent spot, but they were there today, my five year old was thrilled! As we were standing in line, I could not believe the amount of people coming up to the character greeter to ask who they were! My five year old was telling them!

No...they never existed on the Disney Channel. They are the cows from the original Walt Disney cartoons from way back in the day...before there was a Disney Channel or even cable for that matter.

Um, I do believe Horace is a horse, if I am correct.

Horace Horsecollar is a horse (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horace_Horsecollar) and Clarabelle Cow is, obviously, a cow (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarabelle_Cow). They are boyfriend and girlfriend, from some of the REALLY old Disney cartoons (1920's and 30's).
Say, if they had gotten married and had kids, do you thing they would have been boy horses and girl cows, or would they all be horses with udders and horns (chorses?)?

Horace and Clarabelle are from some of the early Disney cartoons. They were featured recently in House of Mouse and The 3 Musketeers. They are true "Classic" characters in every sense of the word and I feel they will be very popular with guests.

We just got back from our trip. We saw them on Tuesday 26th. They do sign autographs. We saw them right in front of the Magic Kingdom entrance before you go under the railroad tunnel.

You know that channel at the WDW Resorts that plays the old Walt Disney World cartoons...over and over again? They can be seen in those old cartoons. Like the Mickey Symphonies one, etc. I've seen them with Goofy a lot in the old cartoons.

I'm surpirsed how much I know about all the old Walt Disney shows, cartoons, etc. It's all I watched as a kid! I loved all the older stuff and use to love watching the Wonderful World of Disney...and then Vault Disney on the Disney Channel.

I know someone here on the DIS met Horace and has a picture with him because I just saw it on here about a week ago! It's here somewhere!
