a visit from the A/C repairman! Our A/C went out last night right before I took my ds (#2) and his friends to Dave & Busters for his birthday. It made it though last night but this am bu 8:30 it was already 80 degree's in the house. Its been hotten than usual here for this time of year. Im sure we will end up getting a new A/C since ours is 20 years old (we bought our house when it was 6 years old and have been here 14 years in Oct).
I may even be forced to go to my in-laws today (cruel punishment I think, lol).

Maybe to AC repairman can get HIS mom a really nice gift with all that overtime he is gonna make off of you! Seriously, your post scares me to death. Our AC, furnace, and water heater are all 25 plus years old. I know our time is coming. Good luck with your repairs. We would love to live in Texas, my family is in Louisiana, but I know it is hot down there right now! We had tornado warnings last night but luckily none came near us. Happy Mother's Day!!!

You have my sympathy but a bit of my jealousy too. I wish we needed airconditioning today. It is rainy and pretty cold in New York. I guess I should just enjoy the slight break from bills for the horrendous heat bills of this winter.

Don't you hate to spend money on home repairs like that when they do nothing to actully beautify your house? Sorry about your bad luck!

Sorry to hear this Deena! Broken AC isn't fun! Why do these thing always happen on a weekend?

OK not a good thing because of the weather but you'll be amazed at the savings with a new unit. We're on a monthly budget plan with our utilities and they owed us money the first year we replaced our ac which was also over 20 years old! Fortunately it didn't go out during a hot spell and DH owns heating/ac business.
