Guaranteed Room - Can I book for two people and later change one of the guest names?

I'd like to lock in the rate because it's an amazing rate for the guaranteed verandah room. But what if the person I invite to come with can't come and I want to change the guest coming with me. It says the reservation cannot be modified but if I book it for 2 people and just want to change one person's name does that count or does it just mean I can't change dates or rooms?

You can ask, but I believe others have been told "no changes of any kind." If you aren't sure of your party, I would wait to book.

You can't change names on at GT (IGT, OGT, VGT) reservation. Those reservations are final and you can't make changes.
GTY is different in that you are guaranteed a room in a specific category but you don't get to pick the room.
