I have no countdown!!!

Its been agreed today in our household that WDW is out of the question this year (mainly as most of you know that DS has to have a skin graft on his hand in june.)

My wonderful DH has said if I want to take the boys away at the end of August I can for a few days....I would love to go to DLP...never been and dont know how to plan it (and never been away without DH before!!) so its a scary thought.

Feel down in the dumps :sad1:

You can get a package that includes a train (eurostar) all the way to the resort.

My sister in law did it on her own last year with her son when she had splitup with her partner and found it a lot easier than she thought.

Good luck in what ever you decide.

Why dont you pop over and put a thread onto DLP Board. They are a really friendly bunch over there and are really helpful. They will have some great ideas for you Im sure. I know there is a lot of information on there about trains, flying, and going over on the ferry. They have also got good advice about the parks and hotels.

Good luck, let us know how you get on. :sunny:

Just sending you a hug Jane

A trip to DLP might be just what you need. As Susan said the Eurostar goes right there!

Thought I'd come over and say hi :wave2:

If you have any questions about DLP then just pop in. Many on the board have been to WDW so they can allay any concerns regarding feeling that DLP will not be Disney magic :)

Where abouts in North of England do you live? My friend usually gets EASYJET from Newcastle, and books DLP direct. The package price is usually a lot higher. we go with Ryanair from Prestwick, but its a nighhtmare from Beavuis aiport, butr EASYJET go in to CDG, and you get train link. DLP are doing 15% off certain hotels if booked B4 31/1/06, but nightmare to get through to!!

:sunny: Hi

I went to DLP with 2 friends at the beginning of Dec. It was perfect just before Christmas. Ideal for you and the boys. Easily do-able from the uk. We went with easyjet from liverpool. It was rearly easy. You can even get a bus straight from the airport to the disney hotels

Be brave you won't regret it. The disney fix from DLP with get you through.

Have a great time whatever you decide. :goodvibes

I'm sorry you can't get to WDW! but DLRP is great... infact, my best friend went to WDW, then later the same year we went to DLRP and she always says she prefers DLRP...

I hope your son's skin graft is ok... i was born with skin cancer on my right hand and have had loads of operations, including 4 skin grafts... if you have any questions or just want to talk about it just PM me ok?

Sorry I can't offer any advice about DLRP as I've never been but just wanted to say that it will probably do you good to get away somewhere, even if it isn't WDW :)

My Sister has taken her DD on her own before, and is going next month with DD and DS.
She has a DH but he isn't fussed on going to DLP (he prefers WDW) so they are going alone.

I am going in August, and am planning, so if I can help, let me know.
I have been there 3 times before so have a little knowledge, and the peeps on the DLP boards are lovely and very helpful.

Good luck.

:grouphug: Hope you have a great time wherever you decide to go :flower:

You all make me smile!!!.......I think I need to look into it. I am not far from Newcastle airport so flying is certainly the easy option!!. I have seen coach trips but I cant imagine the boys travelling for so many hours on a coach....its enough going 5 hours to visit my family in london with them in the car!!.

Cynaro...I will pop into the DLRP board and ask lots of questions (you will regret offering the service!!). I think we just need out 'fix' this year after Sam had been operated on....It will cheer them up no end!! :)

Just wanted to say good luck with everything. Hope it all turns out ok - and I'm sure you'll love DLP :flower:
