Sorry I haven't posted in a while. You know it's been really busy around the house and work lately. I hate that there will be several refurbs going on while you're in Disney. It always sucks knowing that you'll have to miss some of your favorites.

I hope that you and Nicki and Todd get a date tied down soon so you can finalize your plans. I knowthat you had a good time visiting with Nicki last trip. Did Todd meet ya'll then too? I can't remember.

We always expect one or maybe two things to be closed...but not so many. I have a feeling that all my wonderfully laid out plans here are going to be completely altered.

Actually, we only spent 90 minutes with Nicki on Marco Island last year. She had a death in the family while we were there and had to fly home to Boston. We never got to meet Todd on that trip. However, Mark was there in March on business, and he had dinner with Nicki and Todd and they had a blast. Poor Todd could hardly get in a word, and heaven help the both of them when Nicki and I get together; that's why Nicki and I are planning a "girls" day so we don't feel guilty about the men just looking at us as if we are nuts. We know we are having dinner at least twice and doing our gilrs thing...just don't know the dates yet.

A day by the pool sounds wonderful, especially right now, with all the heat we have going on here at home.

I hear you. I love hot weather. But the last two weeks here have been extremely hot for Chicago this early in the year. Mark umpped 9 baseball games this weekend and he was dead on his feet last night when he finally got home.

Pool looks so relaxing... even though I don't drink coffee Starbucks looks inviting too - those summer frozen lemonades are fabulous!

Count me in as pretty surprised so many attractions will be closed during the same time frame. We're not going until December and even then not looking forward to Fantasyland having all the partitions up, but it looks like many other attractions will be finished and open.

I feel bad for everyone going with so much closed. The Riverboat seems to be closed more often than years ago - It's been closed my last 3 visits. Hoping it (and lots more) will be open by December as it will be almost 2 1/2 yrs since my last trip by then. This is the longest between trips ever - except after my son passed.

Hi, Christine. Yes, the Riverboat has been closed our last several visits. I'm so happy that you are going in December. I hear you about Fantasyland...it won't be the same.

I am so bummed for you on the rehabs, One Man's Dream is my favorite thing, we used to see it at Disneyland and to me its not a trip to WDW without it. If we get to go in October, it will be closed for us too. I like your AK idea, but then AK is about my favorite park. I love Nemo, Lion King and the Flights of Wonder shows.

Can you imagine if they put a Starbucks in Downtown Disney? The line would be longer than Toy Story Mania!

Just jumped on to your PTR from another TR. I have to get caught up so will be back later.

We were at WDW last Sept 17 & also stayed at CSR for a second time. Our 4 sons are grown & we, mostly me, love coming here. I think that it will be so sad when I grow too old to come to WDW! We are now 61 & 62 & have been married almost 44 years! Last Sept we were here celebrating our 43 anniversary.

I'm planning to bring my grandaughters here in 2011 for their first WDW trip.

Wow, that condo looks amazing!!! What a nice friend. Relaxing in that pool looks like just the ticket for a wonderful, true vacation. As much as I loved being on commando mode at Disney, I loved the laid back, relaxed feeling we had at Vero.

Love the pictures of the doggies, mine is a 7lb. Pom named Wicket.

I must be one of the only people that has never used a FP! During our early trips WDW didn't have thme yet & our later trips we didn't need them as there were no crowds.

Loved the early family photos of WDW. Funny, but we were looking at the old super 8 movies Sunday of DisneyWorld. Our 33 year son was an infant in a stroller in one of the movies. What memories those old pix bring to mind.

It is a great condo and I wish I was in that pool the last two days while it has been in the low 90's here and very humid (although I'm not complaining...it's better than being cold; I just wish it would STOP raining).

We've not used FP's too often...mostly for Soarin' and Tower of Terror.

Thanks...glad you enjoyed the family photos. It is funny you menion the super 8 movies. Mark (my DH) got rained out two weekends ago from umpping so we got out our videotapes of the kids first visits to DW...we had such a good time watching them and laughing and crying (my dad was in the first one with Andy our oldest). They are great memories and I am so glad we have them.

I woould love to move to Florida, but DH is scared off by high insurance costs. Hurricanes scare him from the move. We going to Florida next week to see my mother. Too hot there right now. Needs me some Disney time, but not this year. DH wants his Vegas time instead!

We are doing it on Tues. I was worried that we would get delayed on Sat. I am also planning on doing EMH at MK on Sun. The girls take a little time to adjust to the time difference. I enjoy evening EMH more than am ones for some reason. We do have an ADR at Garden Grill on Sun that I may try to change or just go after.

Darn...we are doing the party on Saturday night if we go. If we don't do the party, we are definitely doing EMH on Sunday night. We will figure something out...as you said it is easier now that we are staying at the same resort.
