GRRRR - Repair man rant!

The man started to replace our ceiling tiles yesterday. He told me he had to drop his son off at camp first at 9 am, but would be directly over after that. 10:30, he showed up!! He stopped for the day at 4 pm and said he'd be back at 8:15 am....guess who's still not here!! Don't get me wrong - he is doing a good job on the ceiling and he is very neat on the job, but I hate people who are late!!! He's never going to get done this way! He was originially also going to remove the old tile, but I got a little nuts on Friday and took them all down myself....good thing!!

You know what bothers me is that it is soooo typical.

You can almost count on people NOT being on time anymore. My motto is, it's just as easy to be 5 minutes early as it is to be 5 minutes late.

I think it's rude.

I'm glad it looks nice though!

Now I'm really miffed! He's still not here so I call his cell phone. He tells me he's sorry - he got tied up with some "spackle" - it's taking longer than he expected. He'll be here in about 40 minutes! Seeing how he was SUPPOSED to be here at 8:15, what the heck is he doing on another job! He was supposed to be done this today, but there is no way! I was very patient and understanding yesterday when he needed to drop his son off, but I hate to be taken advantage of!

I hate being on time and being uniform I guess its the rebel in me
