I could just scream right now.
My family was going to spend the holidays in NC...which would have been fantastic. Last year we went to WDW and decided this year we wouldn't...but in September my mum got a pin and suggested we go...so we booked. I agreed to go because I was doing lots of consulting work as a sideline to my regular job (and sponsored by my regular employer). I knew the consulting work would pay for the trip.
On Oct. 1 I requested to be paid some amounts that were owing....it wasn't done.
On Nov. 1 I requested to be paid the amount owing PLUS the new amounts from September & October....it wasn't done.
EVERY WEEK in Nov. I requested information on what I needed to do (if anything) to get these amounts paid. I kept being told by my boss "I'll take care of it"...(she kept telling me that about my reference letter too...and it took 6 weeks to get it!)
Last week I got narky and said that I NEEDED that money to be paid or I would have to cancel some plans...including plans to attend a major conference in my field where lots of job interviews are held (my job is one that is a place holder and we are encouraged to actively search for another job).
I even said I would be happy if they would just cut me a check by the 15th.
Found out today it will be paid in December....ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!!
WE ARRIVE at WDW on the 19th!! How the heck am I supposed to get tickets, and buy food...muchless pay for fuel on the way down there and get our 'check engine' light checked before we go???
I could spit nails I am so mad!
I know if I tell my mum she'll play the martyr and offer to get our tickets and such...I don't want her doing that (she is paying for the rooms and special TS meals as it is). What I want is my employer to DO THE RIGHT THING!! *snarky snarl*
