I am the cheer advisor at a school near disneyland. The girls were wondering if there is anyway they can take pictures inside disneyland in front of the castle. Does disney offer this service? :cheer2:

Yes - we get one almost everytime we go in front of the castle. There is usually a Disney Cast Member holder a camera just waiting there for people who want pictures. They'll give you a ticket with a number and a time that you can pick up the picture at the (I think....) Camera store on Main Street - I believe it's a Kodak store. They turn out great!

Are you looking for more "professional" ones or just a "we were here" one because if you are looking for more professional group shots ones like most teams do and you plan to use them as 'publicity' pics then you'll prob be treading on fine ground as for permisablity of that and you may run into problems with disney. I would personally contact Guest Services and ask what the rules are on it, whether its just fine or if you need to hire a professional photographer from them or whatnot

Disneyland_emily brings up a good point. I have hired Disney to take photographs of my private events in Walt Disney World. The contracts that Disney sent to me came with the following legal warning:

- - - - - - -
PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEO: Any organization desiring to photograph, film or otherwise record its meeting or event (instead of hiring Disney Event Productions to do so) must obtain our prior written consent and enter into a license agreement with us (in form and substance satisfactory to us). The determination of whether any organization will be permitted to photograph, film or otherwise record its meeting or event will be made by us in our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

We ask that organizations desiring to photograph, film or otherwise record their meetings or events notify us at least two (2) weeks in advance so that we can determine whether the organization will be permitted to do so, and we will have sufficient time to prepare the necessary license agreement and make the necessary other arrangements. This is particularly important for organizations desiring to photograph, film or otherwise record our performers (e.g., musicians, singers, dancers, actors, masters of ceremonies, narrators, announcers, disc jockeys, stunt performers, etc.), since we may need to give advance notice to those performers before they are photographed, filmed or recorded and we may need to make additional payments to them. Accordingly, organizations may be required to pay us additional fees if our performers are photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded. In any event, organizations may not photograph, film or otherwise record our performers without obtaining our specific written approval to do so.

(Note: There were other legal disclaimers in their contracts -- the one above is just one example.)

Definitely contact Disney. If their photographers in Disneyland are half as good as their photographers in Walt Disney World, you will be pleased with their photos. And if there are any legal do's and don't's for usage of those photos, Disney will let you know exactly what they are.

By the way, in Florida I always go through Disney Event Productions for my photo needs: click here for their brochure.
