ground transportation

I am booking a trip in Feb for a friend. We want to book the airline separately. Does anyone know if we can book ground transportation w/Disney even if we don't book air through them. Or maybe we could book through someone else.

Mears is who Disney uses. You don't need reservations with them. You can just go to their counter at the airport and purchase a transfer or call them in advance.

Yes, you can book ground transportation seperately through Disney, although the CM I spoke with quoted me some crazy price that did't even come close to Tiffany Towncar's rate. I would highly recommend doing it yourself to save the $. Plus, they have great customer service and were very very flexible with us when our travel dates/flight times changed 4 times due to the hurricanes. We once had a terrible, awful experience with Mears and would rather walk to WDW from the airport than take a ride from Mears.

We also had one bad Mears experience and have used Murray-Hill Transportation (transportation2disney.com) ever since!
