I want to thank those that take the huge effort to sort, label and walk us along with your trip memories.

Earlier this year when I was going through litigation relating to my daughters passing, so many were kind enough to provide links to their trips. It was over a year long battle and the most emotional time of my life.

Through it I found comfort, friends and a period of escape in reading the TR's. The litigation is resolved favorably, and our family will be taking a trip in a few weeks to the world.

Groucho,
I ran into a thread today that had a link to your TR in 2007. This trip was just weeks after the last time I took my older dd to Disney; and days before she passed away. A ton of emotional memories for me. Good ones, the parade, AK, Epcot was her favorite....

I was taken away since early this morning reading the thread; http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1321147&page=11

This reminded me of all the places I have yet to experience, see, and try while in Disney. We never did dinners at Disney, thank you for the reviews. I have the free dining so this is going to be a first.

My older son is taking our grandson, what fun. I guess your son is about his age now, 6-7. Also ds's new Canon EOS that I was able to buy for him. Because of several shoulder surgeries and back herniations, hunting is mostly out. But he loves to have the camera to fill the gap.

I bought a Sony SLT 33 with the 2 kit lenses. I should have bought the SLT 55 with the one 18-? length. The camera scares me. I took my point and shoot Sony on a vacation cruise to Bermuda, I do wish I knew how to use my SLT, what lens would be my go to ones....If I were to go now, I would use the kit 18-55. The Sony p*s is a 10 x zoom and 16 mp.

I can't wait to get back and post my own TR! We are driving and coming back on Autotrain so that will be a new experience for me.
My boys/men are train-a-holics.

Well, enough rambling. I have work tomorrow and taking both camera's with me. The Pocono area offers many pic oppertunities. especially the dang deer that walk up and stand next to you taking photo's,lol.

Again thank you to all with the TR's

What a sweet post. I'm glad the Disney magic got you through some dark days.

I hope you're happy with your new camera.

Wow, thank you! I really appreciate the kind words, and am very glad that you enjoyed the trip report. (It also makes me feel that the time I spent updating the photo links when I changed around my web gallery was worthwhile!)

One of these days, I'll get back to finishing my January 2011 trip report... the trip was nine months ago and the TR is only up to day 4 of 12! :rolleyes1 It is time-consuming but it is very nice to have a record of the trips while they're still fresh in the mind (well, not so fresh any more!) It's fun to go back years later and re-read the adventures.

I hope you have a magical trip, and enjoy the times with your son and grandson!
