Grosvenor Hotel

Can someone please give me a report on what they thought about the Grosvenor Hotel. I wasn't able to get a ressie for any resort on property and this was the only hotel I could get into.

You can do a search on these boards. I did, and it seems like you either love it or hate it. We aren't the pickiest people in the world and the price was right ($72/night thru HotelKingdom.com), so I booked it. Then I found $59/night at the Courtyard by Marriott (at qixo.com) which is also in DTD so I cancelled Grosvenor. From all of the checking I did, though, I wouldn't have hesitated to stay there.

We stayed at the Grosvenor in October (and at the Courtyard by Marriott last year). The Courtyard was a little nicer hotel, but we loved the Grosvenor's location much more. We were constantly walking over to Downtown Disney for evenings or breakfasts or shopping or whatever!

The Grosvenor is a little older, but it was very clean, the service was outstanding, the bars and restaurants were great, the pools and outside bar was nice and well-kept, and the Goofy/Pluto breakfasts were wonderful!

Thanks so much for the input. I wasn't able to get a room at one of Disney's moderate resorts so I chose The Grosvenor because of it's location in relation to Downtown Disney.

We really enjoyed the location of the Grosvenor. Although I'm sure I'm in the minority, I think this is one of the best values at WDW. Being able to walk across the street to DD was the best!
