We leave for DisneyWorld in two days!! Woo hoo!

Anyway, when we arrive at the airport we are getting a rental car and I want to hit a grocery store before we get to our resort. What's the best suggestion for grocery stores? We are heading to WL.

Thanks!

Marcia

Publix is our favorite when we go to Florida. There's a grocery store at Crossroads that is something else, but the prices are much higher. Go to www.publix.com and you will find a store locator along the menu at the top.

We tried both Goodings and Super Wal-Mart. I'll shop at Goodings from now on. Wal-mart was a nightmere. No carts, a zillion rude people. Goodings cost a bit more, but the convienience was well worth it. I found most prices in line with my supermarket at home, except for beverages (case of 24 bottled water was 11.50.) However, 50 cents a bottle is still cheeper than water at the theme parks. If you know what you want you can bring coupons too. I'll make my stop at Goodings next time, the aggrivation compared to the few dollars savings is no comparison.

There is a brand new Publix by the Big Designer Outlet Mall and Mary Queen of the Universe Church. Publix has good quality items at a great price. Goodings is rediculous with their prices. Goodings is probably 25 - 50% higher than Publix. Paying $2 for a 2 ltr bottle of soda or almost $5 for a 1/2 gal of juice is crazy.
You'll like the prices & selection at Publix. We shop there both in Orlando and back at home. :D

Hi! Several people on here had posted about a new Winn Dixie, so I tried it when I was down there last month. ( It's on 535, near Crossroads)

It was immaculate, and the prices were very good (including the alcohol!). I only had two gripes, and it probably wouldn't bother most people. My kids only eat one brand of yogurt, and they only carried one flavor of it (Yoplait Custard Style). They will eat Gogurts, so I got those instead. The other thing is that their bakery had minimal selection compared to that Super Wal Mart.

My lesson is that I stop in St Pete before we leave my mom's and stock up the refrigerated cooler with those two things, otherwise, the Winn Dixie will suit us nicely.
