Im checking out the Von's website...now taking with a grain of salt that not everything in the stores could be on the site. Im not happy with what Im seeing.

I know theres another grocery store close to DL I just cant remember the name...and are there anothers like WalMart?

I must have my Peach Snapple! And not the Diet...lol

There is a Super Target down in Garden Grove on Harbor Blvd. Albertson's also has an online ordering service.

Snapple Peach Iced Tea - 32 Fl. Oz.

$1.79

and

Snapple Peach Iced Tea -16 Fl. Oz.
Vons Club Price: BUY 2 GET 1 FREE(offer valid for deliveries on or before - 09-30-2008) - add 3 for offer

I changed my safeway.com account's address to HoJo's, it switched over to Von's, I searched for iced teas and it's right there. You have to go past the Diet snapples first, but it's there.

What else aren't you liking? (Safeway is my fave grocery store and Von's is just the same except b/c they are in CA they can sell vodka and the like, LOL)

But yes, Albertsons is the other store you can go to or have delivered.

I'm looking for like a 12 pack of the snapple...I'll look on the Albertsons thanx all..

well maybe vons will work, see were not doing delivery any more. and vons now has a limit of 150 for delivery at least thats what capt bane was readign to me glade we arent doing delivery now

Just FYI you don't have to switch your address to Hojo or your hotel to have your safeway card changed to Vons

your Safeway card WORKS FINE at Von's without any changes at all!

Woo hoo!!

So can you have the Vodka etc. delivered by Vons to HOJO's, provided you are 21, which I am (plus a few more)?

I like Safeway better too; that's where I shop around here. But, Albertson's doesn't have a $50. minimum for delivery orders. Plus I'd heard a couple of negatives about Safeway's delivery service, so we did Albertson's and it worked great. I think Albertson's charges $9.95 delivery fee. Still saved me a bundle on bottled water, or having to lug a case of water from the 7-11 on Katella!

Yes. Although I've heard conflicting stories about whether or not you need to be present to sign for it. Some people said they got theirs just fine without signing for it; others say they were required to be there. Probably depends on the hotel; I'd call HoJo and ask.

i just checked albertsons online and they charge $12.95 for delivery.

Aw, dang, that's right, I think they sent me an e-mail notice about that. I forgot. "rising price of gas" yadda yadda yadda. 3 bucks more... why does that seem like so much? Now I'm rethinking it.

I have a discount code for free delivery from Safeway that expires Oct. 11th-- we arrive Oct. 12th! Grr! But there again, I think I'd have to order $50 of groceries, and that's unlikely. Unless I decide DD13 and I need some really, really expensive nibblies in the room. Hmmm... they don't sell Godiva chocolates, do they?

ahh were gona go to albertsons he can take a cab there and back and it isnt any fearther then vons. we are happy now. i checked most of the list i have made and they have it, little higher then im use to but hay we have found the best deals here for things. im sure ca is more money anyways lol

the other thing with albertson's is that they latest they deliver is 6:30pm - 8pm and the earliest window of the day is 10:30am - noon. which won't work for me cause we'll get to the hotel probably around 10:30pm. and the guy that i talked to at albertson's said that if i'm not there to sign for it, they'll take it back (won't leave it with the hotel front desk). i could schedule for delivery the next day and just time it with our afternoon rest, but that wouldn't be worth it i think since we'll only have a day left in the park (short visit...10/9 to 10/11...arriving late 10/8). oh well...

Huh, you might want to call the hotel about that. Albertson's left our delivery at the bell desk at GCH with no problem. We didn't have to sign for it. I've never heard of it being a problem for the hotel to take delivery for groceries, except possibly if there's alcohol in the delivery. Some hotels will even put it in your room for you before you get there. In fact, I need to call HoJo and find out if they'll do that for us.

yep, just called tropicana and they will hold the groceries for me. i just gotta tell them that beforehand so that they can update my reservations to note that i am having groceries delivered! :thumbsup2 ...back to shopping online for groceries! and thanks for the ideas! a roll of paper towels and plastic utensils are great ideas!

Jade you might want to rethink that cab ride...it may end up being double what the cost of delivery will be....its not like right around the corner..and you know being a tourist destination they will jack up the rates anyways and go crazy routes because you dont know any better...but if you insist on doing that then stick with Vons and have them take you to the one on Lincoln...its the closest...Albertsons is in GG all the way down Harbor...Vons is definitely your best option if taking a cab....or I thought of something else...there is a store that is very well known here in CA called Food 4 Less and they have one about a mile and half from hojo off of Katella and they sell everything way cheaper than albertsons or Vons or any of them and although I dont know if they will show it on their website, they do sell Snapple and pretty much every other thing that is sold in a grocery store...

i have the cab ride budgeted have called an know what they charge i have the closest albertsons closer then vons on google map its not all the way down the other side of the harbor its up and around from hojos 2.9miles away 8min walk and im printing this up and saying take this rout

Cab ride in So. Ca. are rather expensive, you are charged initially just for getting into the cab, then are charged for every 1/4 a mile, and you are charged for waiting in traffic and at stop lights. GEESE! can we say cab companies need to be better regulated? I say yes! please.
