Grocery stores and cakes

I want to buy a birthday cake for my daughter when we arrive at a close grocery store. Usually frys an super target have really good moist cakes. It looks like they're pretty far out of the way though. Are there any closer grocery stores by Disneyland that have good cake?

There are no grocery stores or bakeries that are very close. Target a mile down Harbor, Albertsons two miles down. A Vons a mile down Harbor and a 1/2 mile east on Chapman A Food4Less a mile west on Katella.

I don't recall a bakery in the Target, I wasn't there for food. Also when you get this far from the parks you may find a regular bakery. ETA, Pixiewings confirmed no bakery at this Target.

Call the hotel at which you are staying and they will probably have a number of a bakery for you

While not a grocery store, there is a Cold Stone Creamery right across from DL on Harbor which sells ice cream cakes. Otherwise, you could order a birthday cake from Disney and have it delivered to an on-site restaurant. I remember someone doing this for a birthday dinner at Big Thunder BBQ.

I'd also love to hear if anyone has had experiences with local grocery store cakes. We will be there for DS birthday and he's the least Disney fan of the family so spending $ on a Disney cake just doesn't make sense.

Thanks! It just the super targets that have bakeries. Albertsons will be my best bet! Cold stone is a fantastic idea too though... I will call around tomorrow and see what they offer! Thank you

How do u have a cake delivered to a restaurant?

Call Disney Dining, they can order for you and have it delivered to your table. It has been great for us. The small cake was $24 and the larger 10" cakes were $38. You get a variety of flavors to choose from. My kids love the chocolate cake with chocolate mouse filling and the buttercream frosting. The cakes are so good!!

There is also a minimum of 48 hours prior. If you order more than a week in advance, I would call 4-5 days prior and double check (had a cake get "lost".)

The Target on Harbor does not have a bakery.
