Grocery store that offers pick-up? Stop & Shop offers PeaPod

Not impressed with Garden Grocer/WeShopForYou (no organic apples, prices are higher for two reasons).

Does one of the local grocery stores offer a service where you place an order on-line prior and pick-up in a certain time slot?

Not sure about a local store, but I have used wegoshop.com several times w/ great results. They purchase exactly what you request (ie 2lbs organic apples) and provide you with the store receipt. I believe their delivery fee is assessed differently than garden grocer, but I have chosen them over gg to have the flexibility of selecting exactly what I want.

Check with BigY. I know for sure the BigY in Greenfield MA does, I don't know if they all do that. I also think that ShopRite does it.

Safeway and Raley's here offer it at selected stores. Safetway is strictly delivery through, as far as I know.

We have Webvan here until 2001 when they went belly up. They had no stores, they were delivery only. The neighbor across the street loved them. Just googled them, apparently they are considered the biggest bust of the dot com bust.
