Grocery store on the way from airport?

We'll be arriving Friday and renting a car. Plan to stop and pick up a few groceries and a cheap-o styrofoam cooler on the way.

Will we see some grocery stores on the way from the airport? We'll probably follow mapquest's route: I-4 to Kirkman Road.

If not, where is a convenient grocery store?

There are numerous grocery and big box stores (K-Mart/Wal-Mart/Target) close to Universal.

There is both a Publix and Super Wal-Mart on Kirkman north of Major Blvd.

Another Publix on Sand Lake by Dr Phillips and a Super Wal-Mart East towards Florida Mall on Sand Lake at John Young Parkway - next to Home Depot or maybe its a Lowes - cant remember.

We stopped at Publix near RPR and FYI, the styrofoam cooler is in the bottled water aisle (not the beer aisle where I was looking for it). And, it was on the bottom shelf and the end of the aisle....walked right past it 2 or 3 times! Just an FYI for you. Have a great trip!

There is also an Albertson's close to RPR. It's in a strip mall with several restaurants. Sorry, I can't remember how to get there. We got directions from the front desk and it was about 5 minutes away.

Don't want to hijack here but........any adult beverage stores in these grocery stops?

There is a liquor store next to Publix.

You can use maps.yahoo.com to put in the addresses and get directions. For your starting address, put in MCO, and then the Publix address as the destination. There is a Publix just north of the parks, so you'll get off I-4 at Kirkman Road and go north a few blocks.
