Grocery store/Golden Corral

Maybe those of you who know the area better than I do can advise...For our next trip in January, we will have a rental car (at Vero and AKV) for a few days and will be meeting up with friends (at OKW) who want us to take them to Publix (or possibly another grocery store nearby). We would also like to find the nearest Golden Corral (as they say, not gourmet, but it's something we don't have here in MN) for dinner on the way back. Can anyone tell me where the two can be found in fairly close proximity to each other and not too far from WDW? Thanks! Your recommendations are appreciated.

Not sure if this is the best or the closest -- but in this case they are close to each other -- Route 192 (Irlo Bronson highway) in Kissimmee near formosa gardens there is a Golden Corral. Publix will be alittle to the west on the right hand side of the road.

That is the one I was going to suggest I think.. If it is the one I am thinking of, it is very close to AKV if you take a right at the first light after leaving AKV. You will then go down to the "Shop Strip" as we call it because it has quite a few stores and chain restaurants.

If starting out at OKW, I would suggest the Golden Corral at the intersection of 535 (Apopka/Vineland Rd) and Vineland Av. Address: 8707 Vineland Av. (Go out Hotel Plaza Bl by DTD to 535, turn right, go under I-4, and turn left at Vineland Av. This is next to Marriott Village: Fairfield Inn, Courtyard, and Spring Hill Suites - if you know where that is.). Then, for a Publix, just continue down Vineland Av (past the Premium Outlet Center and the old Dixie Stampede building), and there will be a Publix on the left. (Address: 8145 Vineland Av).
