Grocery stop or not?

Hi All:)
This will be our first time using a towncar service and staying at OKW.
We are to be picked up at MCO at 5:32PM and have priority seating for dinner at 7:10PM at Olivia's. Would we have time for a grocery stop (30 minutes)? How long does it usually take a towncar service (FL Tours) to make the trip? Since it is our first time doing this, maybe it would be more convienent for us to just buy what we need at the resort, even though I have read it is more expensive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance:D

It's too bad, since a grocery stop would sure save money, but I'd say don't chance it. Since you're taking the Limo from the Airport then that means you don't have a car, so you'll be taking a bus or shuttle from your hotel to dinner. So you've got to figure time for the shuttle or bus too, and depending on where you're staying, it could be up to 30 minutes, since they also pick up at other destinations before heading to the park. So you'd better head strait to your hotel and bypass the grocery stop, or you may lose your priority seating.

If it were me, I'd go for the grocery stop and while there buy something to eat (picnic) in the room that evening and bypass the dinner altogether (if you do be sure to cancel the priority seating out of curtesy). If you do this you'll not only save money, you'll not be in such a rush, you can have a relaxing evening by the pool or walking the grounds and after the hustle and bustle of getting there you'll need a calming period. A nice evening together and an good nights sleep and you'll be more then ready to really enjoy your vacation the next day and not start it by being exhausted. Plus you'll have some groceries to snack on through your stay that didn't stretch your budget.....

This will be my 4th trip to Orlando and I've learned to slow down. My first trip I tried to cram everything I could in and was hyped up the first few days, going on adreniline....and I paid for it in the last few days because my mind was overloaded and my body plum worn out. I didn't enjoy the last couple of days like I could have and should have!

The second trip I slowed down a bit, and it was better, but I didn't slow enough....and was still wiped out by the last couple of days. The third trip was much more relaxed. My daughter and son in law came with my husband and I for their first time. I made them take it slow..we all did, and we had the best time. We just made up our mind that there was no way we were going to be able to do everything we wanted to do so we would take our time and enjoy what we did do, and plan another trip sometime in the future. October will be that future trip! Yippee!

So try to fit in some Rest and Relaxation and have a super time, whatever you decide to do!

I don't think it sounds promising. IF you were to get in on time, you still have to wait for luggage, traffic, etc. However, you do not have to take the full 30 minutes at a grocery stop which could buy you some time. Also, why not ask how much more it would be for FL Tours to drop you off at your resort and wait for you to check in. Then, they could drive you over to dinner. You could take the bus back.

Have you thought of seeing if you could move your reseervation to a later time? There may be some cancellations.

No matter what you do, it sounds really stressful to me and I believe I would do as MrsIneedavacation suggested. TAKE IT EASY!:bounce:

Frankly I"m not sure you're going to make that PS anyhow! The last couple times we've flown into MCO it's taken 45+ minutes for luggage to come out. Another half hour to get to the resort, ten minutes to check-in if there's no line...

Can you push your PS back an hour? That way you'd have time for the grocery stop, and not be stressed.

Anne

Boy, I'd think about changing my ressies. It's a lot of money that you can save! Depends on what's more important to you.
We did the grocery stop with Fl. Tours.(they were great by the way!)
We ate breakfast in our rooms, packed lunches and brought drinks. Did counter service for dinners. But that's just us.
I do know buying food at the grocery will save you!
