I.m been to Disney many time and we usally get the town car and do the grocery stop.
My friend and her son are going in July and staying at pop centry and would like to go and get some food and stuff.
What is the best way to do this without renting a car,can they get to a grocey store by bus and take a taxie back?
Thanks

I had inquired about that myself and the bus is not that practical as the lynx bus that services disney is a express one and makes few stops you woud have to transfer to another bus . there are several services that will deliver cost $ 50 they did say that the service station at DTD sold some groceries at reasonable prices they allso sudjested sending a pacakage from home to the hotel but i dont think that would be too practical for us canadians .:confused3

I think it depends on how much you want to buy. A cab to Publix will probably cost you at least $10-$15 each way. So figure that in to your cost savings vs just buying from the little store in the lobby.

Also factor in your time vs cost savings. We didn't have a rental car in Oct so we took a cab to the outlet mall and then walked over to Publix. But we made an afternoon of it and saved on other things at the mall. If that is not in your plan the 2 hours will defeat some of your savings.

A couple of years ago we took a cab from BWV to the Publix and it only cost us $25.00. We thought that quite reasonable considering it was the same driver that took us there, and then came to pick us up after.

One other solution is to take the bus from your resort to Downtown Disney and walk to Goodings. Goodings is a bit more expensive then Publix but unless you are spending a whole lot of money, the difference should be small. Then, take a taxi back to the resort, or if you do not have a lot of stuff or there is no need for refrigeration, walk back to Downtown Disney.
