Grocery delivery

We will be staying as first time DVC owners in April at VGF. Where is the best place to have a few groceries delivered from? Does anyone have a website for places that offer this service?

We rent a car for the best service and price. Garden Grocer and WeGoShop are a couple of services that deliver but you pay for the service plus tip.

I agree. Garden Grocer is the best one. We also rent a Keureg from them every trip. The groceries have always arrived before us and they have a good selection! If you call to pay, they may give you a discount. They've done that a few times for us!

Be aware that their food prices are higher than the others. We noticed the higher prices when we first used them for a $250 order. We made the mistake of buying a small roast from them and the store price still on the package was $10 less than what they charged us.

We have used Wego Shop the last two trips and were very happy with the service.

We used to use GardenGrocer all the time, but their high prices and lack of good selection caused us to give WeGoShop a try and we were very happy with them and plan to use them again next trip

We always use Garden Grocer as they don't care if you're there to receive the groceries or not (I think WeGo Shop prefers that you're there to receive it and I've heard they prefer cash). Garden Grocer will leave the groceries with Bell Services and you can order beer too. We live in an expensive area and the last time I ordered I didn't find their prices THAT far off from what I pay at home for certain things (for example their price on fresh strawberries when I ordered was the same exact price as what they were running at my grocery store at home at the time - and I wouldn't pay that much at home either). Everything is a little higher, yes, of course, but not as high as what you'd pay Disney for things. Of course you're paying for the convenience factor of having someone else do your shopping for you and saving you the time and money you would've spent on renting a car and doing it yourself. They can't sell you stuff for face value. Personally, I love knowing that our groceries will already be there waiting on us when we arrive. We also only really order breakfast items, fruit, soda, water and beer etc. We don't really cook on vacation beyond using a toaster or microwave so our orders are on the small side.

We have used Garden Grocer for years and have been very happy with them. Their website is easy to use in terms of adding items, their selection is good, and we find their prices reasonable (we usually get snacks, diet soda, breakfast items as we don't cook in our villa). We prepay online, including the tip = its just so easy. They leave everything with bell services and we just request the groceries come up with the luggage and our storage lockers.

We did not have to be there for WeGoShop.......groceries were left with bell services.
We paid ahead by CC.

I have never had a bad experience with either of them.

For the $30 it costs to rent a car at the Dolphin I find it a value to go to Super Target and shop. Takes me about an hour or so plus I get another 5 or 10% off with card and coupon. Saves a lot over the delivery even with car rental. We are 7 people so we buy breakfast stuff, sandwich fixings, snacks and beverages

We have never rented a car while we have been there. I'm sure we can rent for just a day. Just not sure how that all works. Any info?
