I have never used them but did see something on this and noticed how high priced stuff was and if not mistaking there is minim that your allowed before they would deliver
You'd be better off crossing Kirkman Road and purchasing grocery items at Walgreens instead of having them delivered and saving the charges. There are quite a few options depending on what you're looking for. We have restaurants across from Universal as well as Publix right up the street. Universal is in the heart of things...not in the boonies like Disney so you have many more possibilites.
Well, we are not huge breakfast eaters. So, we usually just have nutrigrain bars and fruit, etc. in the room. Then we have an early lunch in the parks.
Does the Walgreens have more grocery items than a typical Walgreens? Mainly looking for fresh fruit for me.

You could get the breakfast bars and such over there but I don't think they carry fresh fruit. You would probably need to go to the grocery store for that.
How are you getting to your hotel? We're booking a car service that will do a 30 minute stop for groceries on the way to the resort. We plan to do that to pick up some sandwich items and fruit and beverages.

We are staying at the Portofino Bay for 3 nights in December. I just learned that we can reserve a mini-fridge and microwave for the room ($15/device). We want to stock up on some groceries to offset the additional $30/day price.
We find it slightly healthier, more time efficient and less expensive to nosh in the room.
We scheduled a driver with a grocery stop to buy water, breakfast and snack items.
