Grocery Delivery?

I am contemplating having groceries delivered and am wondering which service is the best. Any recommendations? Also, I'm assuming there is a minimum amount you have to purchase?

We are driving and could go to the store. I just don't really want to. Seems like taking a trip to Wal-Mart would take away some of the magic. ;)

Honestly, I'd suggest going to the store yourself..... Publix and Winn-Dixie are both close.

I've used Garden Grocer. Service and products were perfect.

I'm sure you're right. I don't like going to the store when I'm home, much less when I'm on vacation! But it probably makes the most sense since we will have our car. I'm also debating bringing as many non-perishables as I can and packing a cooler with a few perishable items.

Thanks for your input!

We just got home yesterday and we ordered through wegoshop.com. I think it's more reasonable than garden grocer. You send them a list of what you want. You can request where they shop. I went to Publix.com beforehand and looked at the flyer and got some good sales. They shop as if they're shopping for themselves. Worked out great for us! I would highly recommend them!

Another vote for wegoshop!!!:thumbsup2 We used them, and she was great. Delivered our groceries right on time within $7 of what I thought the bill would be based on prices at home. Not bad at all.

I totally understand the not wanting to shop thing while on vacation, we plan to do it our first day in and never go back.:goodvibes

I will meal plan out everything we will be eating, make a list and be good to go.

We have used this service twice. Once they delivered to my room. The second time my room was not ready and they left it with bell services who delivered it for us later in the day. Everything was perfect and I will use Garden grocer for our next trip, this summer

Is there a fee (I would think so) and around how much is it? Thanks!

Garden Grocer: Pricey(for the most part) items, quoted online, place your order online. Minimum order $40, plus $12 delivery fee. It's a nice site to use-play with it, and see what you want comes up to.
Wegoshop: Prior poster listed the delivery/shopping charge. Seems like alot, but they shop where YOU want, so you have some control over your costs. I'm thinking the higher delivery fee will be more than washed out by the lower grocery prices. And, there is no minimum order.

Play with Garden Grocer and see what you're likely to spend. And then decide if you'd rather use your own car to make a last grocery run, and then let the vacationing begin!

Thank you for the additional options! I will check them out. Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like to shop while on vacation. I was starting to feel a little lazy. :)
