I know that I have seen people use wegoshop.com, but are there any other websites that I can go on that will do the shopping for me. If anyone has used wegoshop.com, how were their prices on basic items? Would they shop for milk, yogurt, fruit, etc.?

We love We Go Shop and we use them for every trip! You pick the store they shop at. We usually pick the Wal-Mart Super Center since we know their prices and selections. The just charge you the cost of the items plus a flat shopping fee, which I think is $15 for up to $100 worth of groceries, and then it goes up a bit. So there's no mark up on the items they purchase. We've used them for milk, cheese, bread, sandwhich meat, fruit, diapers and wipes, snacks, bottled water, cokes, and lots more. They'll pick up pretty much anything you want. You just make a list of what you want and the size, brand, etc. You arrange a delivery time and they bring everything right to your hotel room. It's wonderful! I don't know what we did before we found them! I really can't say enough good things about this service or the couple who runs it in the Disney area.

In May I got a delivery from Gooding's (www.goodings.com), a small private grocery store in the area. $10 flat fee, $50 minimum. Their website has lists of items, but they will sell and deliver anything they have on their shelves whether or not it's on the website (except they don't deliver alcohol).

The thing I found superior about Gooding's is that you don't have to schedule your delivery. They deliver to your resort's Bell Services, and then Bell Services delivers to you. BS calls your room, and if you're not in, they store your groceries for you and leave you a message. But what about your refrigerated items? NO PROBLEM, Gooding's separately bags and labels them, and BS keeps them cold for you. When you get back to your room, you respond to the message and tell BS you can take your delivery now.

I LOVED that aspect of Gooding's delivery. My flight arrived around 9:00 a.m., obviously well before check-in time. I knew I wanted us to start having fun, but I also wanted my grocery delivery. I was trying to balance those two and figure out when I would need to be at my room to accept a delivery. Do I hope I get an early check-in and get an early delivery (so I'd have time to start having FUN on my vacation and not make the kids wait around), but then risk my milk and yogurt and cream cheese going bad because I can't check-in early? Or do I plan an after-3:00 p.m. delivery but then waste a lot of my first day staying near the room? Gooding's eliminated those questions for me -- I didn't have to be at my room at any certain time!

You order online, but you call them with your credit card info. Your card won't be charged until that day, because there's no way they can know the exact amount of your purchase (something could be sold out, and deli and produce are sold by the pound, etc.). When you get your delivery, you get the cash register receipt, CC receipt, and your shopping list with each item crossed off. They were great with my special requests. For example, I ordered I think 3 pounds of bananas, and I asked that some be ripe and some be green so that they would last the week -- no problem!

I guess I'm such a cheerleader :cheer2: for them because I loved the convenience of their setup, as well as their excellent follow-through. They really helped us have a great vacation. Bagels and cream cheese and fresh fruit and O.J. for breakfast every morning (rather than the expense and time of buying breakfast each morning), deli meats/cheeses and bread for a couple packed lunches, yogurt and cheese sticks and fresh fruit and junk food for the kids (and us!) to snack on, bottled water to take to the parks, and of course milk and other stuff.

Have a great vacation!

Be aware that Goodings prices are really, really high! Most people on this board will advise you to avoid them because they are so overpriced. There will be a huge cost difference between shopping there and someplace like the Wal-Mart Super Center or even a regular grocery store. At least that's been our experience every time we've checked them out - and it seems to be the experience of most others also. That's one of the reasons we prefer www.wegoshop.com over Goodings delivery.

We spent a month this summer in a three bedroom villa at Cypress Point resort, which is very close to the Goodings - and we still found it way too expensive to shop there. We had a full kitchen and did a lot of cooking and picnic lunch packing, so we did a lot of shopping for food and price comparing.

We really believe that you can't beat We Go Shop if you're staying on site without a car. We'll be using them again in December!

We get picked up from the airport by Murry Hill Transport. They are nice, very clean, and always waiting for us when we arrive into MCO. They take us to the PUBLIX for a 30 min shop stop. Then when we check in they put our things up until we can get a room! I cant say enough about Murray Hill. They are fast and very afordable. Last year we got to the resort at 10:30 and got a room ASAP. It was the week after Christmas too. The advantage was getting to the resort with out having a lot of people on there. It is a plus for us...

Thanks everyone for your help. I was a little hesitant about going with Wegoshop.com because I didn't know that you could pick your own store. I will definitely pick Walmart Super Store for our grocery stop. We are taking ME and I was trying to figure out a way of getting to the grocery store.
