I hope this is the right place to ask.
We were originally going to drive from MD to FL in June. UNTIL we got 79 fare from Southwest!
So now I am grocery challenged. We are DVC members and will do a dining plan.
But I like to have snacks and food and water available.
I am planning on packing some stuff in one of the "free" bags on the airplane.
How about delivery of stuff to my room?
When should I order and from where??? I really need some help.
Thank you!!!!

I love garden grocer. Always seemed like decent prices to me

We are going in at the end of August and we are going to use Kelly L. aka Personal Disney Shopper. If you have a facebook accound she is has a page under Personal Disney Shopper. If you don't you can pm me for the info. She is very reasonable and delivers anything. She will deliver straight to your hotel and set up with you what time you want it so that she can hand things straight to you.
Like previous poster, I have used the garden grocer before as well.

We have used Garden Grocer also. They were great and right on time with their delivery. You can also order beer/wine through them. I did have to fax a copy of our drivers license to them the first time we did it.

If I remember correctly as long as you order the minimum of $40 if you need to place a second order during your trip you do not get charged a delivery fee. I'm gonna call and verify that since we are staying at Universal and then Disney. Not sure if they will count that as one trip though. Don't want to have tons of things delivered for Universal and then have to transport it all to Disney.

I prefer wegoshop.com--mainly because I can give them the UPC code and they will buy it! I'm not sure if it's a better value than gardengrocer, but it works for me. :)

I don't believe any of the services deliver to your room unless you are in it. They will deliver to Bell Services, who will place the perishables in a refrigerator.

We always use Wegoshop. They will shop at any grocery store you want and their delivery charge is very reasonable.

We also used Wegoshop. I thought the delivery cost was very reasonable and she will go a store that you prefer (we asked her to go to Whole Foods) but she also went to other stores to get items such as sodas.....AND (I love this) she will look for the lowest sales items and call if they dont have your item and she may need to sub.

I think she did a great job!

I have also used Wegoshop several times. Only thing is Marge no longer owns it so I have no idea how the service will be now.

Someone told me Staples delivers. I was thinking about getting a case or 2 of water delivered from Staples. Not sure of their prices though.

I just got off the phone with Amy,the new owner. Wegoshop only charges what they pay. You actually get the receipt. Along with paying for your groceries, you pay a service charge based on your total bill.

Most important, they do not increase the price of items!
