Grocery delivery to Grand Cali Villas

First, thank you everyone for your patience answering my questions so far.

The last time we traveled to DL we had groceries delivered by Albertsons. It loooks like we do not have that option this time.

I found VONs will deliver. Any reviews...thumbs up :thumbsup ?????

Thumbs up for us...we went this past feb and I still had a little one on whole milk, diapers, etc. I ordered a ton of stuff, including a humidifier, a few days before we arrived. I put in the delivery time when I knew we'd be there and after getting all unpacked our hotel phone rang saying our groceries were here...I had to go down stairs and meet the delivery guy and show him to our room and then he unloaded it all. NOTHING was missing, it was so easy and I didn't have to pack nearly as much stuff!!!

I did this at th grand but I'm sure it will work for the villas as well...a quick call to the grand's awesome customer service and you'll be set.

On another not I'd love to stay in the villas but would miss the grand piano singing me off to sleep...hehehe!

We have had one not so good experience with Von's but since they are the only show in town, we decided to try them again in September. No issues, delivered within the window and everything was there. So they are 1-1 with us.

It will save a stop to the grocery and since I'll be traveling on a scooter because of knee surgery a few weeks prior - I won't mind skipping the trip up and down the grocery aisles!

So VONS is the only place around that delivers? What happens if they deliver but you aren't in the room will Bell Services hold it?

Just wanted to add my recent experience with Von's and DLH. We had delivery scheduled for October 25th between 10am and noon. Van's called and said they were going to be an hour late. No Problem. I had heard from people on the DIS that you don't have to be in your room for delivery. After 1pm, I received a call from Bell Services at DLH. They wouldn't accept the groceries on my behalf. I had to be there. I asked them if they could hold onto the goods if I left the park then and went straight to the hotel. DLH said no. The Von's driver said he would be back at 3:30. At 3:30pm, my husband waited faithfully in the lobby. Von's did not arrive until 4:15. There wasn't a call to let us know he was going to be late either. The moral of this story is "Plan your delivery time around your park plans!"
