Grocery Delivery Question

I'm pretty impressed with what I've read about the grocery delivery service and am seriously considering using garden grocers. I looked at their site, and they don't say anything about alcohol orders. If I want to order a couple of bottles of wine to go in my order, will they do this? How do you add something to your order that isn't on the site?

I haven't used them yet, but plan to our next trip. from what I have read, you need to add alcohol orders in the bottom of the order form; they are not specifically listed. You would probably need to call them directly if you have a specific bottle of wine, for example, that you want to find out if they carry.

I have not done garden grocer yet. We used WeGoShop on our last trip to WDW in March 2008. All we had to do was add whatever alcohol we wanted to the bottom of the list. It worked just fine with WeGoShop and expect it will be the same with garden grocer.

They both have pretty good customer feedback that I have seen on this board.

Ok, I think I'm being dumb about the grocery thing...
I can understand how do do the Garden Grocer - see item, add etc,
How is it I do the WeGo SHop ??? Just put a particular item on the list without viewing a brand etc??
:confused3
Sorry for being a pain:surfweb:

With WeGoShop you tell them exactly what you want and they shop for you. You tell them Brand and size. If brand and size do not matter to you just tell them. She will bring you the receipt from the store that you chose for her to shop. You will pay the price on the receipt plus the delivery charge. We have used them several times now. The always do a great job of getting exactly what we ask for.

I would go with wegoshop.com because I have had problems getting my alcohol order both times that I used Gardengrocer. The most recent problem was in January, I even covered all bases by contacting them to make sure that all was good but they once again failed to purchase/bring me my alcoholic beverage part of the order.
My experience with wegoshop was hassle free.

well to answer your question about delivery biscuit girl . yes I have last year and had no problems . Note you must be their to accept the delivery because Disney will not accept the delivery of groceries .

Zoebear - I was thinking the same thing. Number of brands are different in the US than in Canada.
I went into the Publix grocery web site and looked through their online flyer just to get some idea.
64 oz milk - I had to think about that for a minute! ;)

Thanks, interesting....
My added complication is that my DS is allergic to peanuts, so our granola bars and cereals/snacks would need to be peanut free/not manuf w. peanuts etc.

I know the good brands here, but not sure about US. ALSO, I'm sure manuf. may be different there....

I want to do this though b/c it would just be SO much easier for us...............:rolleyes1

We were just there last week and Disney did accept our groceries for us. We arrived early in the day and our room was not ready. When Marge delivered our groceries Disney accepted and signed for them. We even had milk and frozen food delivered that they stored for us. We called bell services after returning from the parks that night and they brought them up to our room.

Maybe it's best to just bring those specific items from home. I'm going to the store this afternoon, I'll take a look around and see what I can find that is peanut free. Maybe that will help you out. Perhaps some of the organic brands? Don't know if those area avialable or not via GG
Most of our schools are starting to be nut free zones, so it's a good thing to know anyhow.

when I stood in the Port Orleans resort last year the front desk told me no I hade to be their to accept my groceries I take back my last statement seeing that Disney signed for them :worship:
