So I've been looking at Garden Grocer and wow, those are corner store on the long holiday weekend prices. :eek!: We are used to renting a car and stopping at Wal Mart, so we know how cheap it can be... Is there a delivery option to Garden Grocer, anyone know?

It is expensive but if you were to take a taxi to the grocery store and back it would cost you around $50. Plus, you have to remember that you are paying more because it is a custom service. It still is a good option.

What do you need? Can it be brought at Disney? Disney items might be a few dollars more, but you save in the long run. Sandra

Mostly what we ordered was for DD (18 mo. at the time), who is lactose intolerant. We had lots of snack foods (not sold in the park) and some bottled water delivered to the hotel. We also had some breakfast foods (and supplemented with counter service) delivered for the mornings when we did not have character breakfasts.

Diapers.com also ships to WDW so we had diapers, wipes, etc. sent so we did not take up luggage room.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I think dh and I are finding more and more reasons to rent a car. Wouldn't be worth it just for the groceries, but then you add the $10 "package fee" CSR charges, the trip to visit my friend, the taxis a couple of times to other resorts for meals (could do buses, but for a 7:45 at Ohana...that's adding an extra-early wakeup to the fun of seeing Stitch!), and that intangible of freedom and self-determination (car as personal emancipation??).... If we can't get a good deal on a car, it's probably still cheaper to order stuff rather than buying single items on the resort/in park. One of these trips, honestly, I'll use the buses!!

You may want to look at the price of shipping some items down before you go via Fedex or Canada Post. Not sure if it's much cheaper but if you sale items at home and ship a week in advance it might be worth it.

Snack food, yeah, beverages and fruit. I find it's hard to get the kids to eat a balanced diet (me too!!) and if we have "the usual" around by way of snacks--apples, bananas, baby carrots--they'll just eat whatever I hand to them. The snacks and breakfast food I could pack, but the bevs would be heavy and of course no fresh food in your luggage...
