Groceries

we're staying at a 1-Bedroom in SSR and was wondering sice our flights gets in @ night is there any way to have groceries delivered that same night so we can make breakfast the next mornig?Who's the best in the area to order from and would they deliver that night?

If you pay in advance you can have the groceries delivered ahead of time and stored with Bell Services who will bring everything to your room when you check in. I've done this with Garden Grocer in the past. Their prices are higher than WeGoShop however so you pay for this convenience. I've never used WeGoShop so I don't know if there is an option to pay in advance and have your groceries delivered before you arrive. I also don't know how late either service will make deliveries.

You're going to love SSR. We usually stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom. The rooms are a good size and the resort is beautiful.

In the past 3 years we have used gardengrocer.com. Very reliable and the produce is excellent. We have bell services bring it to our room after check-in.

I just got Back from SSR....it was Brrr(cold) for 2 out of the 6 days
I used GardenGrocer... for about $75 dollars worth of items
They were awesome !!!!

Thanx, they both were the services that kept popping up.I guess i can call and see who delivers late.This is our first trip as DVC members. Was hooping to go to OKW since its our home resort,but i've been getting excited about SSR the more i read about it.17 more days

They Do not need to deliver late. Bell Services will keep the items for you. The delivert service will put the Items that need to be refridgerated in seperate bags and Bell Services will keep the in the fridge. When you check in ask to have the food brought to your room.

How far in advance can I/should I place my grocery order? I will be placing a hefty order since we plan on eating in the room a lot and I get so excited, I would want to order at least 3 or 4 days before??

We've used WegoShop for all our trips.

We loved Marge and they have great service. They will buy anything from anywhere you ask them to.
Last time we were their they had to go buy a Fax machine for a couple that had to work during their vacation.
She will set up a delivery time to suit you.
We had to make a room change just when they had helped us unload 1/2 the items. She just put them back into the boxes and followed us up to the next room-no problem no complaint.

You can pay in advance and she will leave them with bell services.

You can use coupons or store cards if you want .
She gives you the receipt from the stores along with your bill.

If she has a question or can't find your specific item she will call asap on the cell to talk to you and ask what you want her to do. She will call you before your trip too if you need a change or she has a question.

You can email your list/stores to her beforehand

She even comparisons shops-2 small bags of Tostitos were cheaper than one large so she did that..etc.
BTW-last time we had so much food because the store was having a 'buy one get one free'sale on many of our items. She brought them along and appologized for overloading us but a sale was a sale.
Bell Services had a lot of snacks when we left .
We have always been happy with WegoShop.

No extra fees and the personal service can't be beat.

These shopping services can only handle so many orders per day so it's best to order a couple of WEEKS before your trip. Otherwise you might find they have already accepted the maximum number of orders they can handle for your dates.

If you use GardenGrocer.com they don't list beer or wine in their product lists but you can list what you want in the comment field on the order form. I haven't used WeGoShop yet but I'm pretty sure they will shop for beer and wine for you too.
