We will be at BWV 12/22. I was thinking of buying my own non perishables and mailing them to BWV ahead of time. Then buying milk OJ stuff like that at the resort.

We used Wegoshop last summer but have read about so many problems I don't want to try that now. Goodings and the new Gardengrocer are so much more expensive than Wegoshop was.

Has anyone ever done this? Was there any problem with the resort holding onto the package until you arrived? How far ahead did you mail the package?

Just one quick thought. You may find FedEx Ground cheaper shipping than the post office. I'd sure check both before you ship. You can send FedEx Ground from any Kinko's.

Especially this time of the year, I think FedEx would be MUCH more reliable than the PO.

We'll be at BWV the 18th. We looked into wegoshop, garden grocer, goodings delivery and the DVC grocery delivery list. There were problems posted with wegoshop, garden grocer didn't have all that I wanted and was pricey, same with Goodings and the grocery delivery from DVC. I was telling DH our options the other night, and he mentioned renting a car for a day. I looked into it, and with no coupons we're renting a car from the Dolphin for one day for $26.49 from National. That will be worth it for us, just wanted to mention it in case it might work for you,too.

Have a great trip--if you see a family with a curly haired blonde chick--mom(that's me), dad, cute 5 yo boy and 15 month old adorable baby girl that's us!

I just placed an order with WEGOSHOP.COM on Tuesday for a delivery date of 12/16/05 at BWV and their is NO PROBLEM...I have been assured that my delivery will be there on Friday evening around 9:15 PM as I requested!

Kellyh123, you don't say how you are traveling, but this may be an idea for you. Our recent trip included a group of 10 and we flew. We took one suitcase as a "food suitcase". Everyone got the items they wanted (non-preishables) and we packed them all in. (Actually had to add a few things inside clothes in other suitcases too - people liked this idea of having the brands they liked with "at home prices") We used empty shoe boxes to provide extra protection for loaves of bread and english muffins. Cereal boxes, crackers, mac n cheese etc. We used some ziplock bags and Rubbermaid containers to add "layers of protection" for Rice milk (not easily gotten many places) containers and plastic Jelly and Peanut butter etc.

Anyway you can pack it securely and we had no trouble with breakage of any kind! It worked beautifully. We will certainly do this again - perhaps it will work for you.

How long will you be staying at BWV?
We will be the family with the mom (short light brown hair) , dad ( black hair)
19 year old daughter who will probably have a TEXAS t shirt on (college student) and a 16 year old son who is taller than all the rest of us.

We are leaving the 23rd(our 10 year anniversary!)...I'll keep my eyes out for a Texas tshirt!

We thought about packing the food, but with a 5 year old and a baby, which means, our luggage + stroller, DH says, the less luggage, the better! I think he may even limit me this year! EEEK!

We returned yesterday after a week in the VWL. We used wegoshop and she delivered on Sunday 12/04. We called her once we got into the room and she arrived at the resort an hour later. Her service was great, and we will use her again.

We also used WeGoShop for our large group and our perishable items as well as wine and cases of water bottles. This worked very well for us. However when we are with a smaller group we will just get perishables in the resort store. Milk, butter, etc. cost more but not as much as the delivery fee if you don't need a large order.
