Hello,

we'll be at the HoJo next week. Are there any grocery/convenience stores within walking distance (to buy some beer, wine, sodas, breakfast goodies, etc).

tks

Walking distance? Not so much, there is a Target down Harbor but too far to walk. A taxi probably won't cost too much.

HoJo does have a little mini mart in Bldg 1 though, you can get little things there like milk, cereal and snacks.

HoJo's little convenience store also has beer and wine there, too, and actually quite a few convenience food items. See the thread just below about "Natural Grocery Store nearby- HoJo?"

Here's a quote from the the HoJo website, which describes all the stuff you can get there: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=131

"Our Gift Shop is amazing!

...and that's just a taste!"

Also Lorealle posted some pictures of the jam-packed little convenience store:

Of course, stuff there is going to be expensive. Like any convenience store.

You can order groceries to be delivered through Vons or Albertsons, as well. They will deliver to the hotel. We had Vons deliver, and HoJo staff very kindly took delivery while we were at the parks, and since we specially requested it and they weren't that busy, they put our groceries in our room for us, putting the milk, juice etc. into the fridge.

I have to tell you, we were quite impressed with the HoJo gift shop/mini mart last week.

DS won't eat anything in the park really. We found peanut butter, jelly and bread at the mini-mart, along with yogurt which he would eat. They even gave me a plastic knife.

I went for a cool beverage (it as HOT) and got DH a nice cold beer (they lent me an opener too!) for him to enjoy by the pool.

DD still sometimes has accidents at night, so she prefers to wear a pull up to sleep. I couldn't find where I had packed them.....they carried those too!

My mom had most of her toiletries confiscated at the airport......so she was able to get replacements for everything there as well.

It was convenient, and while items were still marked up, it wasn't as bad as it could have been!
