Groceries at AKV

Those of you who have been to AKV, is there anyplace at the resort, either Kidani or Jambo, that sells basic groceries, primarily for breakfast? We're debating whether to have a car at our trip in December. If we don't then we need to have a way to get breakfast stuff, which is the only meal we really eat in the room to save time and money. The only DVC I've been to is VGC, which has a pathetic "grocery" section in a snack bar. Prices are double and selection is minimal.

Garden Grocer.com Delivered is the only way to go. OK prices small delivery fee but way cheaper than a car. Will deliver to Bell Services if your not around. Bell can refrigerate or freeze so no woories there.

Agree Garden Grocer delivers even if you are not there dvc will store even frig stuff until you arrive, a great alternative to a car

While we have used Garden Grocer in the past , I do know that there is a small convenience store at Kidani, and a small area in Jambo where they sell some food items. To what extent I'm not certain, but I know hubby got donuts, oj and milk at Jambo, and while visiting Kidani last year I saw the same kind of stuff. Perhaps someone has more experience with this.

Oh - just checked the dvc site and they list the food that you can get ordered for Kidani for delivery - there is a $5 delivery fee. If I remember correctly from our trip from last year, the prices were comparable to Garden Grocer....some items were cheaper and other higher. I'm guessing that not all of these items are in the stores, though.

At one time I saw a picture on disboards that someone had taken of the items for sale in the store, but I have no idea where it is.
