Gringott's lives up to the hype aka what's a little lost sleep?

Thank you! I'm excited for Gringotts now! I just read your description to my husband and he said, "We'll try it." ;)

My husband didn't fare too well with Forbidden Journey this time around. While it didn't make him headachey, it made him very nauseous.

Each time I have ridden FJ I am always nauseous. This last time we were literally able to walk on it and I refused to ride it again.

Is the first big drop into the dark or can you see the track a bit? I hate drops into the dark because I cant tell when it ends so it always makes it worse for me.lol If it is in the dark ( or not) how long does it last?Is it the only drop ? As in if I can get past the first drop can I relax in the rest of the ride knowing there are no more downward plunges?
thanks

It's in the dark. The rest is fine.

How early should non EE parties arrive to the park now to avoid the 200+ minute wait for Gringotts? (Assuming everything is running like it should.)

Wow, thanks for the good description of the fear factor, I love FJ so this sounds doable for sure, I will do the mummy but I don't really like it, I won't do EE at AK ever again to scary for me, bothers my neck. I have never done any of the big coasters at US and never will but love everything else. I am a huge HP fan and really love the detail at Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, so hoping DA and gringotts won't disappoint.

Try to get there at opening but you might want to consider waiting until later in the afternoon/evening to try Gringotts. Just like at IOA, most people will try to do HP first thing which makes for long lines.

We arrived around 06:10 this morning at US. It was around 100-200 people in line. We got in to Universal around 06:30. Walked straight ahead to DA. Waited in line for about 10 more minutes. They let us in to DA before 06:45. At that time we had around 100 in front of us. Not much at all!!! We got into the bank 06:48. 07:12 we left the "elevator" and grabbed our 3D goggles. I did my first ride of 2 at 07:22 (thanks to child swap)!!!
A great ride!!!
Be at the gate around 06 for early adm. if you stay at a on site hotel.

Actually, I hadn't even thought about waiting on Gringotts, but as long as we plan to use the entire day just for the two HP sections, maybe we will get there at opening and head to Hogsmeade first and just keep and eye on Gringotts' time for later in the day/evening. Thanks Metro West!

What time do the Cabana Bay buses start running? My friend and I are staying in a few weeks for her birthday and we want to try for EPA one day.

My daughter and I are going in December. She will be riding but I won't. She's an adult and doesn't need me to be with her but is there a place in the line that I can get out of line before boarding? I'd like to see what all is in the gueue.

There is always a place to leave the queue before boarding. Just ask the TMs in the line! And since you aren't riding, if you two have bags you can just carry them through instead of dealing with lockers. The TMs will ask when they see the bags so just tell each one that you aren't riding.

Any experiences with doing early entry at Hogsmeade? Thinking of doing Forbidden Journey, taking the Hogwarts Express, touring Diagon Alley and skipping Gringotts altogether.

Hogsmeade is not an issue. The issue is going from Hogsmeade to KC. You exit from HE outside DA. It even says Hogsmeade to Kings Cross on the station. Universal did this on purpose for now. Maybe after it dies down will they allow you to enter London after getting off HE.

It's barely a roller coaster, it has a small drop at the beginning, but most of it is powered. Ride wise it's more similar to Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland. Much tamer than Mummy and Forbidden Journey.

Thanks for the info. We'll be there next summer. I loved FJ (best ride ever), but it was too intense for my DD and DH. DS decided not to ride based on their reaction. He said he'll ride Gringotts if the drop is not much bigger than that in Pirates and no tipping backward.
