My sister-in-law is afraid of drops. She can handle the Pirates of the Caribbean drop (DW), but doesn't want to do anything that feels like more than that. Is she likely to be able to handle Gringott's?

I'd say it is close to that drop. Someone said like a fast escalator, and it only lasts a few seconds. I don't like drops either, and this one, you know when it's coming, and it's over fast. I hope she tries it. It's a fun ride, with some spinning and not like a roller coaster.

When the car holds pointing down about 60 degrees just before the ride really begins is the only part she will be afraid of. That is the steepest point if I'm remembering correctly and the anticipation and feeling of a big drop is there but the reality is pretty tame. You'd think it would be scarier from the front row but I found it more nerve wracking from the last row as you are higher up so more anxious.

Yep, last row is the best for thrill seekers front for more tame.
