It is always the first Saturday in December. Both the parade in US and Grinchmas in IOA officially begin.

I was planning on going to IOA on 30th, US on Dec 1st and drive home on Dec 2nd.

Looks like its back to the drawing board!

At that time decorations will be up but no official holiday shows or parades.

Maybe I'll switch days. I just didn't want to be at IOA on a Sat.

I can skip the parade. I'm from Louisiana, it's not a parade unless they're throwing you something.

We will be staying in the Orlanda area from 11/17 - 12/1...right now Hilton SeaWorld for the #1 week, WDW resort for week # 2....I plan to get a 4 day/2 park pass for US/IOA (first trip to either place)

Will it be possible, if we have already done most of our riding the first 3 days on the pass, to do the Christmas activities at IOA & US on 12/1? Will we be able to enjoy Grinchmas & the Parade? Or will that be too much in one day? If so, which do you prefer more? (two daughters - ages 6 & 8)

Grinchmas takes place in IOA. Seuss Landing is all decorated. Then there is a Grinch Stole Christmas show.

The Macy's parade is in US. It is held close to park closing along with a holiday concert.

It's not to much to do all that in one day since it's spread out through the day with the parade and concert at night.
