Hello to you all! I'm new to the boards, and trying to jump in by posting replies. But I thought I'd post a formal hello here.
DH and I are going to be visiting WDW September 16-19 and staying at CSR w/FD plan! We were at the Music resort last time, so CSR looks to be a good bit roomier. And the pool!!!! Well, you know...
We have our books, maps, and all our dinner reservations in order.
My ONLY question would be.....Diamond Horseshoe.....we have reservations there. Is this in Frontier area of MK? I'm hearing it's a temporary restaurant set up. Any advice would be welcome

My husband and I are Ohio natives, born and raised in Southwestern Ohio and all of our family still lives there. We are a military family currently living in North Carolina.

Yes, the Diamond Horseshoe is in Frontierland. There used to be a cute little western dance hall type show in there more than several years ago. It was called the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue. They only offered sandwiches and snacks. I have heard now, as you mentioned, that it is used just as a temporary restaurant during the free dining months and serves full course meals now. I am pretty sure there isn't a show offered anymore, but not positive about that. I doubt it, considering all the cuts Disney has made and now they have Woody's Roundup, which takes place outside around the area where the Diamond Horseshow is located.

Have a great time during your trip and you will love CSR. It is absolutely beautiful!
