Green Eggs & Ham Cafe

Hi There, the Green Eggs & Ham cafe is so precious, that is my favorite book ever, used to bring it home week after week for my Mom to read to me. Anyway, do you think it will ever reopen? Why did they close it? It just seems like such a waste.

Wow!! I guess I never paid any attention when we were there. I mean, who wants eggs and ham when it is 90 degrees outside 9 months out of the year!!?

It was open last week when we were there. I had a green eggs and ham sandwich just to say that I had...ended up being pretty good.

We visited Dec. 17 - 23 and I didn't notice it open that Friday, but it was on the weekend.

That's interesting...I wonder if it's going to be a "seasonal" restaurant like Monsters Cafe is. Although I didn't think it would ever open again. I guess they are trying to take advantage of the HP crowds cutting through Seuss Landing.

I got so excited to see the open sign and windows up that I ran over and ordered green eggs and ham even though we had just finished lunch (literally not 15 minutes earlier) - I was worried that it was a fluke and wouldn't be open for the rest of our visit.

Come to think about it, it never caught my attention again by being open - don't know if it was for the rest of our trip or if I was concentrating so hard on not being trampled by the holiday crowds that I never looked over.

We were able to eat there, too - my son was sooooo happy. I'm with you, the menu left something to be desired, kind of a strange group of offerings - pizza or roasted chicken and mash potatoes?????? Glad that my boy was able to say he ate there since it has always been closed when we visited, but don't think I would go back again for more than a soda.

We thought we had hit the Counter Service Lotto with scoring both Green Eggs and Ham and Monsters Cafe.

That doesn't really surprise me that it was open..they were trying to capture the concert and parade goers as well as the visitors from the holiday season. I'm sure it will close again after this weekend. The food there never impressed me and I would never choose pizza from Monsters over Louie's but the fun is in the atmosphere. There is nothing like the classic movie monsters Universal is known for.

Monsters used to have the best pesto pasta EVER. It was EPIC!! I went bolting when I saw it open! (it was a flashback to 50lbs ago before weight watchers. )

Alas, no pesto pasta. My thighs thank Universal for no longer offering it..

Would love to see photos. I really wish there was some pattern to when they are open. Green Eggs and Ham that is. Would so love to eat there.

It was open on the 25th. It'll probably be open for the rest of this week and may be a "seasonal" eatery.

If it is open, get the green eggs & hamwich. It's yummy!

Seasonal is only during busy times like Spring Break or holiday times. For example...Monsters Cafe is only open during Christmas festivities, Mardi Gras (I think) and of course...Halloween Horror Nights. There aren't any big crowd events at IOA except for Grinchmas that would normally bring in lots more people so I don't think it will be open during October unless HHN is extended to IOA next year...which is highly unlikely.

I don't understand why they don't offer some decent food at the Monsters Cafe and reopen it. The place is amazing!

I don't know enough about Green Eggs and Ham to comment about their food or theming.
