Green beans in martinis????

I was in the liquor store tonight (imagine that ) and on the counter by the register, were glass jars of marinated green beans It made me giggle, so I asked the clerk if they sold alot of green beans here in the liquor store??? She said "Yes, ma'am...they are used in martinis."
Really? Does anyone do this? They were about 2 inches long Doesn't it get caught in your nose when you take a sip?

Never heard of that one, but that reminds me of when we went out to dinner a few weeks ago. I had a cosmo and it had a slice of lemon rind as garnish. After I had finished my drink DD's friend noticed the lemon rind and asked me if that was a french fry they had put in my drink! I looked at her as if she were crazy but then I noticed that it actually did look a lot like a fry! Yup, the new garnish for cosmos - french fries!

I'm a martini drinker and have never had a green bean in my martini. I thought they were served in Bloody Marys like Acklander said.

Yup, I have a recipe for spicey & garlicky green beans which are perfect for a Bloody Mary.
Nice on a relish tray, too!

Speaking of martinis...I had a chocolate martini in Palo's on the Disney Magic that was to die for. They did not offer pickled green beans with it though.
