We are going tomorrow :cool1: , I know it's not Disney, but I am still looking forward to it. I hope this blizzard that is coming this way doesn't effect us too much, since we will be driving home Sunday, back to Long Island. Supposedly we are getting 6-12 inches of the white stuff!! But I have had this planned for so long that I am NOT cancelling. Maybe we'll get snowed in for an extra day, now wouldn't that be cool?

Have fun, and hopefully, they won't dig you out too soon! ;)

O.K. so we got stuck in that horrible storm and had to spend an extra night. :teeth: The waterpark is awesome, lots of cool water slides and pools for the kids. The food left a LOT to be desired. The only "sit down" meal is a buffet, which was 27.00 for adults for dinner. The food was gross, on the level of poor cafeteria food, or something you would get in the army, very sloppy, and everything I touched was sticky. The buffet included prime rib, a pasta bar, and crab legs, but all the food tasted the same.. it was just gross. They also had a pizza hut and a snack bar in the waterpark which were not bad, and much better than the buffet. The rooms were awesome!! Very spacious, my kids had their own "cabin" with bunk beds, a day bed and their own t.v.. Rooms were very clean. The customer service left a lot to be desired, the bellhops refused to check our coats the day we arrived. They took all of our luggage, yet they would not take our coats, DH had to lug all the coats back to the car, since our room was not yet ready, and we were able to use the waterpark until the room was ready. We were given just 1 key to use the lockers in the waterpark, when we got to the park, I had all the boys change out of their clothes into their bathing suits, and I was going to use the locker to store the clothes, but there was NOT even 1 locker available. So now we were stuck with all of our clothes and no where to put them, we had to change back into our "street clothes" and just hang out until our room was ready. :furious: The boys used the arcade many times, they got lots of tickets to exchange for prizes. DH and I hung at the bar, and had a couple of drinks while the boys were at the arcade. All in all it was o.k.., as my DS put it when we got into the car to go home.......
"NOW I KNOW WHY WE GO TO DISNEY" LOL :yay: Finally he UNDERSTANDS!!

Sounds like you had a good time. No one seems to like the food in the restaurant. How long did you have to wait to get your room? There have been some bad reports on Trip Advisor about the check-in process.

We arrived early anyway, we got there at 12:30, we had to wait on line for 20 minutes at that point to preregister. Which was not bad, our room was not ready until 2:30, check in was supposed to be 2:00. What ticked me off was that we couldn't use the waterpark because we had no place to store our stuff, the girl that preregistered us, told us to go down and get a locker and use the waterpark, but since there were no lockers available we had no place for our clothes. It seems like they need to work on their customer service, and they need to increase their staff, I noticed that even in the waterpark. They say that the water is kept at a constant 85 degrees in the waterpark but it just felt cold to us. The indoor temp was great though, very warm, so you weren't freezing when you got out of the water. We asked for a comment card on the way our so we could express our views, but low and behold they were out of them. We say MANY people complaining about various things to management while we were there. The rooms aren't cheap, we paid 380.00 for Sat night and 350.00 for Sun night, just seems like you should get more cs for that kind of money, but hey we are used to Disney.

ETA: the lockers that they in the waterpark are really, really tiny, like you can maybe put a small pocketbook in there, or maybe clothes for 1 person. And they have the NERVE to tell you that you can only have 1 locker per family!!! LOL!!!

I do want to try this place but I can't afford that much for a room. I don't pay that much at Disney!

Could you have put the clothes in a bag and just held onto them? Do they have chairs or tables to use?

Yes they have tables, chairs and lounge chairs in the waterpark, BUT they are very, very hard to come by. We must have circled the waterpark 3 times looking for someplace to put our stuff, but every table and chair was taken. People had towels all over them. And speaking of towels, make sure you bring your own!! We didn't because they were supposed to have them in the waterpark, but I had to wait a very long time with cold, wet, kids waiting for them to bring out the clean towels. Towels are also very, very small and itchy. The waterpark was very messy, lots of towels thrown all over, food on the floor, and tables, ect.. seems like they need extra maintenance to keep up with the slobs that have no manners. Also floor in the waterpark was very slippery, kids were falling all over the place, make sure you have watershoes to wear.
