I have had two visits to my Owner's Locker. The first was in Oct. for a two day stay. I did leave a few items in there(like the expensive bandaids I bought in the gift ship)but since I had carry on luggage only I didn't bring items I would usually bring for a longer trip. My last visit was for 7 days in December so here's my review.

When my plane touched down at MCO, I turned on my phone and there was a text message from Owner's Locker that it had been delivered to the resort. :goodvibes When I checked in, my room wasn't ready so I headed to DTD. When I arrived at my room at Pop Century, my OL was in the room waiting for me. How easy is that?

On this trip I brought an extra suitcase to fill up the locker with stuff I usually bring for family trips even though I was solo. I filled the suitcase with purchases for my return home after I emptied it. I thought I'd share what I left in my locker that will be waiting for me on my next visit.

In summary:
Great service! Love the text messages and I called the owner, John, with a silly question and he is extremely helpful and friendly.

Can't believe how much stuff you can pack in there! Next time I will try a space bag to see if I can fit more clothing in there.

It was wonderful to walk to the bus stop with freshly brewed Starbucks made in my room.

As a mom, I always end up packing for everyone else and myself last. It will be nice to know that I have some of my favorite stuff already in there.

It is nice to be able to leave liquids(mascara, etc)in there in case we do another quick trip and just bring carry on items- no hassle with TSA. Same with my Epipen.

I highly recommend this to anyone who goes to WDW yearly or more- it is a great way to plus your stay.

My gosh, I never heard of an Owner's Locker before, and I'm sure it's a wonderful thing. But if I had to take as much stuff to go to WDW as you, I'd stay home! lol

Thanks for the review, as often as I go, I may consider this. What is the cost off hand?;)

I love my Owners Locker too!!! I can pack much more lightly now....I leave all toiletries there, a lot of bath/beauty products, some groceries as well. And all my seasonal WDW stuff...holiay ears, sweatshirts, tee shirts. I also leave fanny packs for everyone. Mine is chock-a-block full. How in heck do you fit all that in your locker??? :worship:
When I was at BW last month, I asked Bell Services to bring my locker up to my room. They asked if I was going to be in the villa. No, I was headed out. They wouldn't bring it up unless I was there to accept it. More like I had to be there in order to tip them for the service of bringing it up. Lucky you at POP!!

Diane - that has become my new pet peeve!!

I honestly get better service from Pop than I did at BW!! And I figured out the tip thing AFTER we left BW for WL!! Yes, call me stupid -

When we left Pop for BW I called to ask the procedure - We had 5 bags - "leave them by the door, and they still have the ME tags right?" yep, I was surprised, but followed directions -

When we got to BW we were told they would put them in our room (same as at Pop) we got back from the park at 4pm - no bags... we called - they'll be right there, at 5 we went down to the lobby "we have adr's and no bags" hmmm "well go to your adr, we'll deliver your bags while you're gone"

dummy me thinking we're in a deluxe resort, I can believe them!!

came back around 10pm NO BAGS... called again.. hmm "well you have to be in the room" EXCUSE ME?!!! Why was this the FIRST we heard that??? ok fine.. WE'RE IN THE ROOM and WANT OUR BAGS!

10:30 dh goes down to the front desk
11pm I call again
11:30 dh goes back down to the front desk
11:45pm I sit out in the hall, and pace every time I hear the elevator -
MIDNIGHT - here our bags come - the guy says "I could've told you you wouldnt or couldnt get them any sooner, 3 guys called in sick, its just me"

disgusting!

When we left BS for WL - I ask if its the same procedure, "Oh no ma'am you must be in your room" I say, well, if you cant get here in 15 min I guess we'll take them ourselves! They were there in FIVE Minutes!!

and I didnt tip them.

at WL I was reassured "You're at the Lodge now ma'am" (and I repeated what had happened to us)

At 5pm I went down to ask about our bags, and that CM who reassured me was embarrassed, he was on the phone and I over heard him say "dont make me come to the BW to get the guests bags myself" He looked up and saw me, and apologized.

They did bring our bags, and refused a tip, and brought us a welcome to the Lodge basket of goodies!!

There is a one time membership fee of $80.25 with tax(includes your locker)and a $99 yearly fee to store in a climate controlled area and deliver to your resort and back. You can also get unlimited visits for $80 more, or pay $25 for each individual visit. Not sure if I'm explaining it correctly so here's the website.

Since I have a storage tub at home(which is now empty :) ) to store all this stuff from visit to visit, this makes a lot of sense for me. I don't have to pack and unpack it or store it. Plus I have my coffee and a hot pot to make meals in my room(thanks Brits for the idea) and a cooler to fill with ice to keep things cold. That makes my stays at a value much more enjoyable, which makes it a bargain overall.

Lucky you at POP!!
Yes, that's why I stay there. I never expect much, and I'm always pleasantly surprised. Maybe that's the difference- you expect more from the Deluxes for sure.

Too funny! If nothing else, you'll be prepared for anything, so good for you ... and thanks for having a sense of humor.:thumbsup2

I would rather be prepared than have to buy something  at the gift shop. And I wasn't actually trying to show my neurotic tendencies(oops), I was just showed my whole list so you could see how much room there is in there.

Hey fakeredhead,
thanks for the kind words. glad we've been able to make your time at WDW more enjoyable and convenient. You know, it's funny. When we started OL we assumed our Members would be mostly DVC. But you know, there are LOADS of non-DVC frequent visitors. We're at POP a lot.
John

Fakeredhead,

What a list! I signed up earlier this month and our locker will be visiting for the first time next month. I have compiled my own list but it doesn't compare to yours! We visit the world at least 3 or 4 times a year and packing is such a pain! Not to mention heavy and since we fly most of the time I am getting out the bathroom scale weighing over and over again to cram in as much stuff as possible while not exceding the 50 pound limit! How wonderful it will be to be able to leave so much stuff there. My DH is still skeptical, but the money back guarantee made him feel better. I just know that after we give it a try he is going to love it, and the lighter bags!

I could have written this post myself! We, too, signed up earlier this month, and I can't wait to try out the service in May, and then again in December. At first, both DH and I were a bit skeptical (we had been managing more or less okay hauling stuff back and forth), but when I began reading ideas about what we COULD take with us, now that we didn't have to worry about size/weight restrictions from our lovely airline friends, I was hooked!

Not only just the toiletries and "WDW things" that I won't have to pack anymore, but also some of the things I could now have with me - favorite mugs and koozies, Brita water bottles, we can now get a small desktop fan! :yay: , and I think the thing I'm most looking forward to - having my own sheets! I absolutely despise WDW bedding (the sheets never fit the beds, and don't get me started on those bedspreads :scared1: ), and I am just giddy at the thought of having my own, clean, perfectly fitted sheets and blanket on the bed. Can't wait! :thumbsup2

Thanks John and Brian for bringing this great service to life! :goodvibes

ETA: And FakeRedHead - I bow to you! That is one impressive list! I'm only hopeful I can fit that much stuff in mine!

Another OL fan here!

Only thing that bugs me is when I get the text message that my OL has arrived in WDW & I'm stil in the PHL airport :goodvibes

I'll be seeing my locker this weekend. Can't wait!!!

Owner's Locker is a great service, and John's the best!:worship:

:rotfl2:

And BTW, I apologize to whoever has to drop my locker off-I didn't even think about how much it would weigh!

After reading your extensive list, I signed on! DD (16) and I will be going for a mother/daughter trip Feb 7-10. I plan to go to Publix and buy the things I usually carry back and forth from NY. I even plan to buy DH a treat for our November trip- a nice bottle of Scotch. (Yes I will be sure to pack it carefully!):thumbsup2

Good idea! I don't recommend the wine in a box. :crazy2:
