Great trip at POR!!!

just got back yesterday from a great trip at WDW. Stayed at POR. Love that place!! So quiet & green. Mousekeeping excellent. Buses were great this trip. Never waited more than 10 minutes. Parks were crowded but doable. Was able to get a 4th & 5th FP most days & never waited more than 30 mins on a stand by line. Ready to go back!!!

We stay at OKW but nip just down the road to eat at the Riverside, we've always found it peaceful with plenty of choice on the menu. If only they had kitchens, we'd stay in a heartbeat.

We stayed at POR back during Christmas of '14. We only picked it because we needed the extra bed, and we ended up liking it a whole lot. I'd definitely stay there again.

We have been looking at this resort! What was your room like? We have 5 adults in our famiy (all tall) and they say 5 can fit in a room BUT can a tall 6 ft 2 son sleep on the sleeper sofa?

I don't think so. We love POR and have stayed there four times with stay #5 coming up in a few weeks.
The third bed is designed for someone under about 5'3" (and to me that's even pushing it).

You could take a twin sized airbed which is what we have done for our son who is about 5'10".

All that said, I would strongly consider two rooms at a value for your party. We are a party of four adults when both kids go and while POR is about our favorite resort, we no longer will all four do one room. We get two rooms at Pop. Remember that at POR you will pay $45 a night more for your three extra adults. With two rooms at Pop you'd pay $10 for your third adult in the one room. And you'd have two bathrooms and four real beds with two rooms. Cost wise it would be very close.

Happy to hear you had a great time! We are staying at POR in November and we love it. It's been three years since our last stay ... and in Disney time that's like FOREVER.
