Great trip, and a question

Just back from a great Deluxe Dining Trip, we never had a bad server. Marakeesh was NOT for us. The stew was tasty, but too hot for summer. We also felt the lamb, chicken, tasted like Momma's home cooking, and way too comfort food for summer. I actually got sick, don't think it was due to the food but the heat and food combo. Coral Reef was cool, relaxing, and beautiful. The mahi mahi was DIVINE, DH's blackened catfish was BLEH, the kids didn't eat their meal other than the fries. Sat next to the tank, and no one bothered us. I think they were all too hot and tired to get up!

Ohana was GREAT, but we are major meat eaters. DD ate a lot of the shrimp, which she doesn't usually. Mama Melrose was also high on the list! Their kids pizza won my daughter's vote for best kids meal of the trip!

Here's my question, if you are not on the dining plan, can 10 year olds order kids' meals? Since she will be a Disney adult next year, the dining plan in any form would be a waste for us. She has a very picky and small appetite, buffets are our best bets for her, and a TS places, she would love to just order a salad and dessert, or maybe an appetizer if there was something she liked.

Yes. My family even ordered the kid's meals for 3 of us adults at Brown Derby. They didn't inc. the drink but since your DD will be close to 9 they probably won't even question it.

Of couse anyone can order kid's meals at CS.

My DD is turning 10 while we are there for free DDP so she'll have her choice of all meals. :yay: But if I was paying for DDP, I wouldn't get it either. She doesn't eat $40 in food a day.
